Bronze Bushing & Grease Zerks

Let me say, I love, love, love the new options that will be "coming soon" to Olivers!! The OTT Team (See more) does indeed listen and hear suggestions and implement them when possible. But, I just have to ask....what on earth is a bushing and zerk and why would I want them to be bronze??? Thanks.

J-Rhett Here, this will explain about bronze: basically, it will last longer and lube better than other metals. https://engineering.stackexchange.com/questions/7072/why-use-bushings-of-different-material-than-what-they-contact

HMD1056 Thank you J-Rhett! I now understand. I figured it was a better option somewhere on the TT, but wasn't sure just where. Thank you.

J-Rhett Bronze bushings would be what holds something in place, but here it probably refers to the fitting at the end of each spring. The bushings then ride in a layer of grease where the bolt goes through the spring head or equalizer T.

J-Rhett A zerk is the fitting used on axles and spindles and such in which a grease gun is mated and pumped to insert grease to the rotating or moving part. https://www.saeproducts.com/grease-fittings.html
