Towing my Elite I with the Anderson hitch, I've encountered a lot of forward / backward sliding of the square shank within the receiver mount on my truck. It has been a cause of annoyance at stops and starts as the entire hitch can be felt sliding. Upon investigation I found that the hitch pin I was using is slightly undersized, as were most of the other pins in my garage. To remedy this, I took my calipers to Tractor Supply and mesaured every hitch pin on the shelf. The BROK locking hitch pin was the winner, at about 0.8mm larger diameter than the one I previously used. I also installed some rubber 'donuts' around the exposed shank to take up the slack. together these two measures have almost totally eliminated to back and forth mothion of the Anderson ball mount

I havenāt asked for a break out for the different replacements/installs. -
...or aluminum and rivets!

Mike knows how to get 'er done the right way! š Wish I had an "Ollie Hanger" like @Patriot! You really need to "wax" undercover or in the shade. I don't believe I could get a permit for one on my property without spending a fortune. Local government is getting a bit Californian around here. And it's so hard to hide from the sun in the SW. It's another sunny day in Arizona, and our windy season just started. A couple months of wind until everything gets toasty dry out here! Each year we wait it out 'til the summer monsoons come.

Ill have to look into that then must be a bad parasitic draw somewhere. i assumed it was the fridge because that was the only thing i had running aside from the lights and the maxxair fan on the lowest setting for a couple hours in the evening when id stop for the night on a 3 day drive from Norfolk Va back to San Antonio. mostly overcast but some partial sun i was down to about 25% on the batteries when i got to SA. wen i was driving the 2022 back from alaska i was only down to around 70% after 5 days with the fridge running on propane.

Nice, if I missed it, how much is Oliver charging you for the install?
-
True, but our Oliverās could surely withstand more ātreeā impact than a sticks and staples!

Starting May 21 you can reserve. I checked with the Parks Department as the Pavilion had already been reserved part if the week, but The 23 was reserved for us. She said then that those that want to attend should do so as quickly as possible on the 21st of May because whomever reserved the pavilion for the other dates are probably going to be camping that week too.

For sure! I usually try and detail XPLOR in early Spring or early Fall in cooler temps. I have to admit although it is a bit of a time bandit, yet satisfying to see the final results of the effort. Parking XPLOR in our āOllie Hangerā out of the hot sun UV and elements has been a game changer. I always just try and stay ahead of that chalky dull looking oxidation. A work in progress. Soon off to the coast of somewhere beautiful with my bride for some beach R&R and incredible seafood. Onward!
