  1. Having never towed anything as big as our Oliver before, I add the ASA Electronic backup camera for a little piece of mind. With 2 years and 20,000 miles behind me, it clearly helped many times. Last trip out to the Rally, the screen was all cloudy. I thought maybe the camera was just dirty. A closer look found that it was full of moisture! I sent ASA an email and that got right back to me. Bad seal was the diagnosis. They issued a RMA and I removed it and shipped it out to them. A week later I got a Brand new camera. No charge. Got to love companies who do things right. Thanks ASA, you have a customer for life.

  2. This is a nice place for a layover, especially if you want to remain hitched. 27 level sites, mostly pull through. Clean facilities, free laundry. $40 a night but for some reason we didn't have to pay. We must have looked like big spenders - little did they know it was past our bedtime. https://www.ladyluckcaruthersville.com/ [attachment file=20190612_084935 (5).jpg]

  3. Nrvale0: I had to replace my bumper pins. Numerous vendors on line. Google “quick release pins.” Opt for stainless steel, 3/8” diameter, and minimum of 3” useable length. My replacements were/are 3.5” useable length and work fine. Good luck. John Shkor. SailorsAshore

  4. Since there hasn't been an immediate response here, I'd suggest a call to the "Service" number listed above. With a bit of sweet talking they just might be able to get either the supplier and/or part numbers for you. Of course they could also sell you the parts you need, but, I assume that you might be looking for a less expensive source or, if you are still under warranty, Oliver will simply mail them to you. 5. I allowed my fresh water tank to drain once while on my last leg home. After having numerous passing cars honk and point and watching their faces, I realized they thought it might have been the "icky stuff" and from then on, in order to play nice with the public and not trash their opinion of us travelers, I've never "let it go" while driving down the road. I could never imagine letting out the black water tank in other than an approved tank.

  6. Dave - I really do like the "unswayed" part! MarkC - Dave is correct about your tow vehicle - the Andersen would not be required. However, to specifically answer your question: from a practical point of view the answer is no, it would not limit your turning radius. From a theoretical point of view I would think the answer would be yes it would limit turning radius. But, by the time you got to that point you would already be in relatively dire straights. Does this help you? Bill

  7. Greetings Mark, With a 3500 truck (or a 2500 for that matter), there is no need at all for the Anderson WDH setup. Save your money and simplify your setup. Your truck will be a very capable TV for the Ollie all by itself. Folks that do have the Anderson WDH will be able to answer your specific questions about turning radius and all if you are unswayed! 8. John - I assure you that Oliver is aware of the issues with the Forum at the highest levels. While I am not, nor have ever been, an IT guy even I understand that using a tool for a job that it was not designed for can cause both problems and limitations. Certainly losing posts is not desirable and I do know that there are backups of the Forum (in fact, it is highly likely that reverting to these backups is what caused the loss of some posts and PM's over the past day or so). However to think that these backups are done every instant of every day is probably not realistic. When an issue happens that does not allow for an easy fix in real time, I can only assume that the most recent backup that is known to not have this issue is used to then restore the Forum to that "stable" point. Therefore, I would just as certainly not call this action "irresponsible". While I do not routinely visit the "many dozens of websites" that you seem to, I would have to agree that the ones that I do visit are generally more stable and have features that make them a bit more user friendly. However, I can only assume that these sites use platforms that were specifically designed for the kind of use that makes them so user friendly. As I understand it, the platform that we are on is only an "offshoot" of the general software that Oliver uses for the rest of their operations. Thus the issues that we experience. Again, the current platform does not allow for external ads (as far as I know). Even with the limitations that the Forum has, it is still the best source of information regarding our Olivers for the travel of like minded folks, modifications, warranty technical service bulletins, classifieds, general Oliver oriented discussion, etc.. As with all the other things "Oliver", I'm sure that as the Travel Trailer division continues to grow, our Forum will get better. We, the first owner's have a unique opportunity to be a constructive part of this growth. And, as with virtually all growth, there will be some growing pains. Bill

  9. Well, don’t leave either of those valves open by accident on your way north or you might become the star of Ice Road Truckers. Mike

  10. The Oliver forum continues to be a valuable resource to me on a vast array of topics. As I was reviewing the number of applications, web sites, and such that I have bookmarked to help find "camping" and other RV related topics, I wondered if I was missing some = I'm sure I am. I queried the forum and found a good deal of suggestions scattered around in many posts, but not any centrally located spot. The wise folks out there know that you use one reservation system for federal parks, another for some state parks, and many other sites for - well almost anything. My question, would it make sense to have a topic page - or whatever is correct- that would put all these resources in one location. (Perhaps it's already there, and I haven't found it). I am sure the new Oliver owners would benefit, as would I. Thanks in advance for your input, RB
