  1. We are picking up OTT 483 at the factory tomorrow then staying 4 nights at Davy Crockett campground. We've been anticipating pick up for a while now and are excited to get started. This forum has been a great help to us and a big thank you is in order to you folks who regularly share information and offer valuable advice. We are new RVers and in the spirit of helping someone else who may be new to this and picking up their trailer soon, we hope to post about our experience once we get back home to Louisville. Everything from the orientation to towing and backing (first time for us) to how the trailer and its components performed. Ed

  2. I just purchased three of these for all of my trailers that use the 7 pin connectors. Keeps them clean and out of the way. They can be mounted to upright posts or against a flat surface. On the Oliver, it will go up against the front basket. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MFFC0IU/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

  3. Hi Ed and Nancy, travis and I are picking up Hull #485 on the 26th and will be spending a night at Davey Crockett campground as well. We are also very excited for our new adventures. Looking forward to possibly seeing you at the campground later this week. kim

  4. Wow its going to be crowded at OTT. I’m also scheduled to pick up my unit on the 26th Hull # 484 they must be at a back log or someone at Ott over booked. They usually make deliveries every other day. Ill also be at Davey Crockett on the 27th I’m staying in Ott lot for the night. I’ve been Rving for many years but still no expert, I’ll be happy to help at the campground if needed. Looking forward to meet some fellow Ollie Owners

  5. Someone may have though they were disconnecting the main 12V feed, like many do when winterizing. I'm guessing you don't know what that is however.

  6. I'm a bit confused on a couple of points. 1. The lug on the short jumper attached to the outer battery, the one under the inverter cable you attached, used to appear upside down in previous pictures. What did you do that changed it to right-side-up? Ideally it should be the way it was so you'd have a little more flexibility in aligning the inverter cable on top of it. 2. I heard you to say in earlier posts that the inverter cable seemed to be too short to reach the outer battery post. Can the battery tray still be opened all the way? Other than this, good job. Just re-secure the flex sleeving and call it a day.

  7. It’s good to see resolution to this issue. I’m sure there are others, like me, who have been following and learning. Issues like this result in better knowledge and greater confidence. It also helps to have so many smart folks willing to jump in and help. Mike

  8. Referencing your last photo of the eight battery terminals: On the positive post of the inner rear battery, there appears to be another terminal stacked on top of the short jumper lug. This is the connection to the main 60 Amp breaker in the street side bunk access. Look at this cable inside the battery box and see if there is enough excess to reach the outer rear battery positive post.

  9. First of all, that tester is for AC circuits and has not use for trouble shooting this problem. You need either a DC voltage meter or tester. The evidence of the loose cable having been previously connected is the ring around the hole on the lug, which is from the kerf nut serrations. Since the lug on the loose cable appears to be in a right-side-up orientation, it was previously installed either directly on a battery stud or on top of another lug that is orientated upside down like the one on the short jumper connected at the outer rear battery positive terminal. If you're not comfortable tackling this, by all means wait until tomorrow or whenever your RV specialist is available. If it were mine, I would reorient the short jumper between the positive posts of the two rear batteries so the upside-down lug is on the inner battery stud. Then stack the loose cable lug on top of it. Secure kerf nuts on both batteries. (100 in lb if possible) I sure hope the mystery gets resolved.

  10. I suspect what you said is true about the cable never having been hooked up. That doesn’t explain how your inverter has been working for the past two years. It is obvious that it was attached at some time though. The reason that the cable appears too short is that there is too much inside the coach. Push some back into the battery compartment and it should easily reach the proper battery terminal. The red cable (positive) should be attached diagonally opposite the black cable (negative). This allows for all batteries to contribute equally to power needs.

  11. Just re-reading the LC post and realized that a picture of the REDARC brake controller I wanted to include was not attached. So here goes?.

  12. It looks to me like heat going horizontally from the fire under the pan, heating the edge of the countertop nearest the stove. The main discoloration being adjacent to the primarily used burner. Do you use a wide diameter pan whose edge is near the countertop? There is a minor amount of discoloration beginning to manifest itself near the other burner.

  13. This was shared with me today. Thought it made a decent post here...

  14. I would surmise a guess that it’s heat related.
