  1. This last month has been a really long year. Gosh, sometimes I find myself longing for those halcyon days when we just fretted about tire pressures, which vehicle was best for towing and whether propane is safe.

  2. I just got off the phone ordering a Zarcor window and shade for the door of my Oliver Elite II. At present the only way you can get a white shade with a white operating handle is to call the company. I ordered mine with the clear tinted glass but if for some reason you prefer regular clear glass you can order it that way. The phone number for Zarcor is: 1-800-877-4797 At present the cost of this is $129.00 AND they will include free shipping. Bill p.s. If your door window has the 16 interior screws then it is "Style A" (inside window dimensions of 12"x 21").

  3. Thanks KWRJRPE! Not sure this is the best topic category to place this suggestion, but since you folks are discussing refrigerators, here goes. I just noticed my 2019 Oliver LE2 (Hull#444) Norcold Refrigerator outside vent door was missing one of the two plastic vent door clamps. I found this on Amazon and suggest folks order a spare or two unless someone has devised a better way to keep the vent door in place. I am happy to report they also work on the Dometic RM2454 vent covers as well. Although I didn’t lose one, I did break one on my upper vent. My refrigerator exhaust fan does not start when I turn it on, so I remove the cover and spin the blade and it starts running. The fan issue is on my list of things to do but the button is replaced. Sherry and Mike and Carol, I guess they don’t make em like they used to. Mossey

  4. The LEII meets our requirements, would not purchase a larger unit.

  5. They could make a more useful interior if they reversed the layout and put the bath at the rear, where there is more headroom, and the bed at the front, where less headroom is needed. This would keep the great streamlined shape and allow headroom in the bathroom. By widening it 4" they could put a queen bed running fore and aft with just enough room to get in on each side, so no climbing over your partner. include some small cabinets over the bed. Possibly bigger windows. One on each side of the bed. And ones that don't leak with a flip up glass that can be left cracked open in the rain. By lengthening it about 6 inches, they could make a very nice dry bath with enclosed shower, and add just a bit of bed length. Make the storage area under the front bed a pass through setup with doors on each side. Because it would be longer and wider, larger tanks might fit in. Re-arrange the stove to get away from the sideways 2 burner, and add an oven, at least as an option. Keep the AC toward the rear, so it's not so loud and blowing right on the bed. Duct the heat so It actually heats the bathroom. Improve the suspension so the axles have a bit more travel and don't just bang into the frame as a stop. Upgrade the axles to 5200 lb axles with 12" brakes. Stiffen the lower outer body shell to reduce the flexing outside of the frame that so many interpret as frame flex. Upgrade the charging system with an inverter/charger combination unit that is more modern than the setup they now have. This would simplify and improve the system while making the inverter standard equipment. Offer a lithium battery option. The net result would be a trailer about 6" longer and 4" wider. They could call it the Elite 24.

  7. In researching this topic, I came across a post from BackofBeyond. He has built his own covered "Ollieport". Nice work and good inspiration.

  9. Also forgot...convection microwave that keeps the time when it loses power... You'd figure "RV specific" would be built for power loss. Almost as infuriating as my Toyota that has a GPS (ie access to very accurate time), cell phone app (more accurate times), but cannot set the time for itself, or deal with daylight savings.

  10. Bill, if you go to their site it’s the one that pops up first (in black). When you order request white. http://www.zarcor.com/rv_products/rv-door-window-kit/ Mike

  11. Well, we don’t want to go too heavy! Here’s my thoughts/list... 28’ X 7.5’, maybe 8’. Walk around queen. 4 person dinette. Dry bath. Repositioned/quieter air conditioner. Bigger refrigerator. More and easier to access storage (improve current basement). Bigger tanks - 50 gal fresh and gray, 30 gal black. Lithium option with solar. Bigger windows. Better suspension (look at the Australians/Black Series/Kedron/etc). I’m sure I’ll think of more. Mike

  12. Mainiac, Window keys are plastic wedges that are used to separate the 16 clips that hold the inner frame to the outer frame, securing the window to the door. They slip into slots on the outer edge of the inner frame. Andrew

  13. Answers to your questions depend on you use case for mobile data: Some considerations and a quick table I made to show the differences... A key resource for all of us who are going to be mobile, and want to use internet on the road. This site was started by some previous Oliver owners...who were living the life of mobile technical writers. Since then, they've grown their YouTube and Blog on Mobile Internet into their main line of business. They do reviews of various types of BOOSTERS for CELL and WIFI and discuss the differences and why each is needed. They also describe many different use cases for RV's. From full time to part time, mobile workers to occasional travelers. They review and track the various data plans by Carrier, AT&T, Verizon etc...and tell which is the best value, has best coverage. 14. Just thought I'd post a pic of Ollie in its current home. I've still to run the electric and water to the building, thus the solar, and the solar works fine at keeping the charge up. The solar is a 45 watt cheap panel off the "site" mounted on a "hillbilly" portable stand, with a very versatile (cheap) battery tender controller managing everything. I use the same set-up to keep tractors and mowers charged during the down times. So far, after a few months, the batteries have remained fully charged.

  15. Hi Sherry, Steve, and Pete. Good to hear from members of the"Original 47." Time flew by and now both granddaughters have graduated from high school. They wanted to go camping before they leave for college. Such wonderful memories camping with the grandkids and Revilo. I am most fortunate to "still" camp in the driveway. Everytime I go outside to leave in my truck to go wherever I am going, I pass by Revilo. I am always going inside and enjoying sitting there. It brings me such joy to pretend to be camping, and dreaming of the next opportunity to take Revilo out for an adventure. How much fun it would be if we could all be at the same camping grounds at the same time. I am glad others now have the opportunity to enjoy the Oliver experience. More importantly, I am glad that others are just going camping and enjoying life. I have told the grandkids forever that I hope they enjoy the journey of life and don't rush to get to the final destination. I wish the same to all. Wonderful to hear from yall.
