  1. We usually cook and eat outside, and we often have the need for paper towels outside. Our simple solution is to hang the paper towels outside using a cord and two suction cups. With a longer cord, we have also placed one suction cup on the tow vehicle and one on the trailer to create a clothesline.

  2. My husband and I just ordered the Elite II for pick up in May. We also decided to attend the rally this year and stay at the lodge. It will be fun to meet you all that attend. This forum is great. We will be coming from Utah and taking a tour before the rally starts. Gil & Elaine jaRVie

  6. The re-caulking is a tough enough job without adding obstacles. And it would add an additional $60 to the job if you took the Gutters’s off on purpose or by accident. It’s all about compromising between what you want and what makes sense. And until I except that, I’ll wait on the gutter installation. Mossey

  7. I only just last week tried the Duragloss cleaner on anything, and yes, I tested a spot on the old caulk which is what turned gummy. It didn't clean the stains from the silicone caulk, but didn't seem to damage it either. It cleaned up the mildew spots on the old caulk pretty well, but at a cost. The dull paint on the frame is fortunately only something you'd notice with really close inspection, and I think some wax will shine it back up. Or worst case, a little buffing. I'm not worried about it, but of course wouldn't do it again. I asked because it occurred to me that it would be difficult to re-caulk around the windows with the gutters in place.

  8. Re-caulking is regular maintenance. You'll be doing it soon enough, or paying someone else to.

  9. I'm going with 3M 4000UV. I scraped the old caulk with one of these and cleaned up with alcohol. The other windows were much easier than the one with silicone. I'll go back over it with some acetone or MEK before caulking just to make sure the there's no residue from the alcohol. I tried MEK to start with, but I could tell that it was taking the paint off of the window frame. Not much, but enough to dull the sheen just a bit. Something else I learned - I had tested some Duragloss 541 mildew and stain remover on a few small sections of caulk to see how well it worked. It actually worked quite well, but I'm glad I did a test because when I scraped those areas, the caulk had turned gummy underneath a thin skin. Like almost right out of the tube sticky. Maybe it would have hardened back up with time, but this was maybe three days after, so it might not have re-cured well at all.

  10. That makes good use of the unused bunk. You still have access to the hatch cover. Do you carry a chair, or is that stand up desk height? My daughter prefers standing at her desk, at least part of the time. Sherry

  11. That looks like the Snow Peak portable firepit, but if it is, what's the extra piece on top?

  12. Friends of ours bought a screen room in the early 2008 days. It was a huge production to install it, and break it down. They only wound up using it if they stayed somewhere at least a couple weeks. Changed my mind on the whole screen room idea. We bought a separate screen structure, which was a little less of a pain, but we still didn't use it. I'd highly recommend looking at a quick deploy screen room like a clam. Sherry
