  1. Resurrecting an older thread. We've had our Elite II for a year now, never had trouble with the water system, except the pump seemed to be pretty loud (our first RV, so no other experience to draw from) and the flow was never what I would call strong. However, on our latest trip, the water pressure took a very noticeable drop. On Jason's advice, I checked the water filter and it was half full of the white plastic shards. Cleaned it out and reinstalled, but the problem persisted. Turns out, the 1' of braided hose connecting the fresh tank to the pump was also packed with the plastic. That particular section is more constricted than the other pipes leading from the tank, so the debris more easily lodged there. Difficult to remove, but managed to make a pipe cleaner from some stainless wire I had in the tool kit. Once the shards were out, water pressure is much better AND the pump is much quieter.

  2. I had an issue with the toilet having a very slow water flow. Cleaned out the connector hose behind it and problem solved. Mike

  3. I just ordered an MT-17 for $124, the lowest price I have seen, with sales tax but free shipping. It's rated for 300 pounds. This size is typically closer to $200 online. (HD usually has the best prices.) The smaller MT-13 is also on sale for $109. The latter ladder (hah!) is a better choice for traveling with, the bigger one is more versatile and its extra reach is safer for working on your Ollie's roof or around your home.   4. thirddoor, thanks for posting the pic of the suction hose, I think it would be prudent for everybody to remove that one at least once to see if it is obstructed. I am adding it to my Honey Do List. I agree with bhncb - that is a lot of material and you may experience more blockages until it is all gone.   10. Listen to what these folks are telling you about the 3/4 ton pickups. I started towing our Elite 2 with a 1/2 ton Chevrolet gas burner using the Andersen. It was okay but I was only 20 pounds under my max GVWR and a 400 mile day on the road would wear us out. You can make all the weights work out on paper but you can’t get a feeling for how that loaded vehicle is going to ride or perform under the conditions you will experience on the road. I traded up to a 3/4 ton Chevrolet 2500HD with a Duramax Diesel. No worries about exceeding the GVWR and it it pulls and stops the Elite 2 great. Very comfortable ride. My wife enjoys driving it. No need for the Andersen. Uphill, downhill, dry or wet, hot or cold, accelerating onto the Interstate, rough roads, dips or humps at bridges, strong cross or headwinds in wide open areas, pressure waves created by passing semis, avoiding animals in the road, whatever, much better experience. And after a 400 mile day I don’t feel like crap while I’m setting up for the night. But on second thought, go ahead and start out with a 1/2 ton. That way when you do trade up it will make you appreciate the 3/4 ton that much more.
