Sherry: I am using solid CONCRETE blocks. But the idea you are conveying is correct. Cinder blocks have no place under anything important or heavy regardless of how they are stacked. Good input.. I especially like your idea of burning the ground contact ones! Some innate pleasure in seeing termites bite the dust. 🙂 Thanks2 points

I'm glad we have an "older" pickup - 2013 F-350 SD. It is equipped with a tow options - built-in brake controller, hill assist, HD alternator, power telescoping mirrors, and backup beeper (no camera). The beeper is automatically deactivated when a trailer is attached to the 7-pin connection. Aside from the onboard computer with steering wheel controls, there are few tech components, aside from the Ford Sync connection, which we don't use; There is no LCD display on the dash. It's nice to still have a little bit of control over your vehicle 😁1 point

I use three 6x6 treated blocks about 10" long. Works fine, gives you two options for height, and store easily. I too use a few 2x10x10 for adjusting when needed. Cheap, and versatile. I hope my Oliver doesn't sit long enough to have a termite problem......1 point

We use the Camco stabilizer jack supports. They work fine for us, too. How about cutting a round piece of plywood like Hardrock mentioned to further distribute load concentration. Wood we use for Ollie storage is painted for durability, too. To help reduce rear jack stabilizer load we also use Camco banana wedge leveling system for rear wheels similar to what like KWRJRPE mentioned. In the reviews for the Camco leveling wedges, some users reported slippage, so we cut out rubber matts for use under wedges to prevent slipping on hard surfaces, working fine so far. It's easy to replace wood when it gets in poor condition, like John and Sherry mentioned.1 point

The 2020 2500 HD Chevys have more tow features. On my 2017 Chevy HD I had some trailer connection problems. The display was showing no brake controller connections, service trailer brakes. Or no connection at all. It was a simple fix. Dielectric Grease on the trailer plug And the problem was solved solved for me,1 point

If you are talking about connecting the generator/inverter to your propane quick connect, then you really need a propane hose with 1/4 inch male QC fitting and the correct length of hose with the correct fitting for your generator/inverter. My Champion dual fuel uses a 1/4 inch male QC fitting too, so in my case I have a two ended hose with 1/4 inch male QC that I connect to a normal 1/4 inch QC hose that has the male and a female QC fitting. Naturally the length is determined by where you might want to have the generator/inverter or similar low pressure appliance to be located. In your case, if I have guessed your intent, a five foot hose would be sufficient to go from the basket to the QC propane installed on the tongue of the trailer.1 point

Thanks Bill, so many choices like you said. This time it will be down the Natchez Trail a bit, then home. I got a list of places to go. But you can believe I will not think all travel trailers are like the Oliver. We did a little research first. Hope to meet you on the road sometime soon!1 point

Note that Geonimo John is talking about solid cinder blocks, not typical cinder blocks turned sideways. A typical cinder block (with the holes) , turned sideways to have a flat surface, is a prescription for disaster. These blocks do not have the same strength turned sideways, and a small crack could result in a serious failure. I'll stick with wood. I throw out or burn the ground contact pieces yearly . Hull #126 Here🖐. We are going and looking forward to seeing everyone however we have decided to Boondocking down the road on the state park primitive camping. We live close so it is one of our favorite spots ( 1st come 1st serve) with lots of waterfront spaces. We will be the old couple knocking on the Ollie doors. If y’all find yourself at the primitive camping, stop and say Hello the the Rutherford’s!1 point

Mike, prayers for your Mom. I am going to attend the non-rally and will be in site F-46. We just got back from a month long trip and my better half has given me a hall pass to go solo.. I'm looking forward to meeting all of you.1 point

One user contacted me today and was having issues with logging-in on his Kindle Fire. I believe it uses the Silk Browser. He stated when he logged-in, it would immediately log him out and return him to the home screen. I instructed him how to clear his cache and have not received feedback if that fixed the issue yet.1 point

Now that the cancelled Oliver Rally is only a few days away, i’m curious how many Ollie owners are still planning camp at Guntersville SP? We will be there Fri around noon and depart Sometime Sun am. Looking forward to meeting those who decide to camp.1 point

Let me see - New Ollie, the Blue Ridge Parkway is right between Hohenwald and Raleigh, and, it is mid-October for the leaves. Of course there is also the Natchez Trace south and then over to Florida and back up. Or, there is the grand tour heading West, winding up in Quartzite in February and taking the southern route home. Choices, choices, choices! Almost a shame that the Oliver is your first camper/trailer. Perhaps you'll think that they all are like this. Bill1 point

For those of you that will be keeping their camping reservations, would you mind sharing which spot you will be in. It is quite a large campground from what I understand and it would be nice if we could all be relatively close (if possible). We will be on E-12, but would gladly move to another spot if it it is available and closer to the majority of our fellow Ollie Owners. -beaker1 point

We use the Andersen buckets, seem to work fine. I purchased an Andresen "kit" with buckets, banana levelers, and door entry mud mat. All bright orange color. Easy to store and keep clean. Likely same or better options out there, just keeping it same with Andersen (also have Andersen hitch system).1 point

You might want to look at the Camco yellow stabilizer jack supports. A lot less than the Andersons and work great.1 point

At the Oliver Trailer Rally, Anderson is one of our primary sponsors. I got a set of the red buckets from the Anderson Reps. When I ask about what side is up, they told me, definitely do not put the jack stands inside the bucket. It is a engineering design. I carry a 3/4 " piece of plywood a bit larger than my buckets. That works great with the jack on top !1 point

We were planning on attending, plus doing 3 or 4 weeks after in TN and KY. My 87 year old mother had her first ride in an ambulance this weekend and I’ve been camped out at the hospital the past couple of days. Looks like we’re going to be care-givers the next 2-3 weeks after she gets home this coming weekend. Unless something changes we won’t be able to attend. Will know for sure by the weekend. ☹️0 points

Unfortunately, I still can not be there due to a previously arranged trip to the beach that conflictsfor those dates. Everyone have a good time! Doesn't alcohol kill the virus? Bill0 points
