  1. And why Oliver doesn’t put a mirrored cabinet door in the bath as standard is beyond me.

They did on ours when we ordered black cadinet doors for the rest. Also put a mirrored on the rear that I did not want and would not allow me to change it to black to match the others. Im sure they have there reasons but never gave me a answer why but I have got use to it and kind of like it now.

  2. Its electric so electric and water dont mix. I have placed it under the trailer when its raining.

3 to 4 hours should bring a low battery up to 90%.

You can buy a 110 to 30 amp plug at Wal-Mart for $8.

You will also need a netural bonding plug something like this or the Progressive EMS will not allow power from the generator without being bypassed and you should not bypass it.

  3. We have the new Honda EU 2200I and find it will run everything we need including the A/C. You do have to make sure you don't run multiple high amp draw appliances at the same time. I love the light weight compared to our old Honda EM 2500 that was too heavy to lift any more at my age. I was able to get it on sale for $899 with free shipping and no tax.

It's also very easy to convert to duel fuel so it will run on propane or gas.

  4. Im wondering why if you were that close to the factory you you did not go back the next morning? Thats the purpose of camping close to the factory.

The trailer mount is made by carefree also. If the support arm is rotated 180 degrees it will not fit in the mount on the trailer. It will also no allow it to go back in the stored position.

    Has Oliver addressed the problems?

  5. E7 code is "loss of 120 power at the control board" in the a/c unit. The easy start is a start assist for the compressor and anything can happen in electronics but it does not seem that the easy start would cause this code.

Does the fan run on the a/c if you turn it on without turning the a/c to cool?

Does the a/c work properly when the trailer is plugged into a 120 volt wall plug?

  6. Welcome to the Oliver family.

We are known by our friends as being marathon drivers sometimes when we want to get somewhere. When pulling a trailer about the best you can average over the course of a day with fuel and food stops is 50 MPH. Thats hitting a drive though after gasing up and eating while driving down the road. About the max you could possibly do in a day is 700 miles and you will be exhausted, especially if you try to do that for consecutive days. We just drove 732 miles the last day returning from Nova Scotia because we were 250 miles from home when we reach our campsite and I decided to just come on home. That was a 15 hour day.

500 miles a day is a long day towing, 700 is just exhausting. Your sure not going to feel like working or going to a driving school when you get home.

Figure out a way to take more time and enjoy yourself even if you don't stop to sight see along the way. I came up with 2500 miles one way. You will need to plan a full day for your pick up day. You might be able to do it in 9 days weather permitting if you don't have any problems. Also having never pulled a RV before your going to have a learning curve too. You can't safely just hook up and go down the road at 75+MPH. We try to say around 68-70 MPH and that's faster then most people drive towing.

  7. This year we have taken 2 - 5000 mile trips and during each we have had people tailgating us or riding in the left lane next to the trailer trying to figure out what brand the trailer is. Sometimes this has happened in major traffic like going through the Boston area and I find it very nerve racking. Since the rear Oliver sign is not lighted up during the daytime and our trailer has the older smaller graphics, I decided to add a "Oliver" and "Made in Tennessee" to the spare tire cover so hopefully people will stop tailgating. Had them made at a local sign shop. ?

  8. I think this is the same as what Bill is saying.

I have a 100 watt panel I just plug into the 7 pin connector on the front of the trailer that I have wired to a female 7 pin on the charge line and ground of the plug. If your not handy you can buy one already made up. You could us a smaller panel for winter the same way.
