  1. Now that I read this thread, I am wondering if we should choose the regular water heater vs. the Truma water heater. Is there a thread on this to compare the two?  I thought the Truma was best for water saving and time saving purposes.  I appreciate and value your feedback.  Thank you, Mirna.

  2. Greetings on this beautiful Sunday afternoon in the Pacific Northwest!  Thank you to each one of you for all these wonderful insights and suggestions. They are, as always, very helpful!

BTW, we just reviewed the ARB models.  They appear excellent!  We will check out the National Luna next before deciding.

  3. One more question, Team Oliver!

Does anyone have recommendation (s) for a portable refrigerator/freezer for the back of the pick-up truck? I have been doing some research and these are the ones I have come up with:

    1. https://www.amazon.com/ICECO-Refrigerator-Compressor-Insulated-Cover/dp/B07TXG7G1Y/ref=sr_1_15_sspa?crid=1H6JBVQPG09F0&keywords

    2.https://www.amazon.com/Whynter-FM-65G-65-Quart-Portable-Refrigerator/dp/B002W8DM5I/ref=pd_cart_vw_crc_1_1/137-4569418-2013729?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B002W8DM5I&pd_rd_r=3137a090-7a92-4b64-b156-3fe4a92292b3&pd_rd_w=RAs76&pd_rd_wg=Y95nI&pf_rd_p=17d06ce6-6a01-441b-8e2f-2cb964e49101&pf_rd_r=FHQAPEQGQY4C4T6S2EHP&psc=1&refRID=FHQAPEQGQY4C4T6S2EHP

    3.https://www.amazon.com/Dometic-CFX-75DZW-Electric-Portable/dp/B078X5XZ9Z/ref=pd_cart_vw_crc_1_4/137-4569418-2013729?_encoding=UTF8

Reason we need an extra refrigerator:

    1. Need more space to keep fresh food

    2. More time out

    3. Makes eating while driving easier and healthier since this unit will be in the pickup truck back seat (2017, F250 Lariat) - We do have a concern regarding safety about keeping the unit in the backseat. Any thoughts in regard to safety are appreciated.

I look forward to the day I can begin contributing from our experiences and not just asking questions. Thank you for your patience and time.

Happy and Safe travels to all!

    Mirna.

How great to see Washington Ollies!!! We will be picking ours up in July!  I hope those of us in the Pacific Northwest will create a rally so we can meet and learn from one another and share stories.

    Welcome to the group!

  5. This is excellent feedback!  Thank you for taking the time to write.  We were considering solar generator for the following reasons:

    1. No noise

    2. No pollution

    3. Both for the Ollie and for home in case of emergency.

You have offered very good alternatives.

    Thank you,

    Mirna and PK

  6. We have researched generators and thought we were going to buy the Honda EU2200i & EU2200i Inverter (CARB) Companion Kit with Parallel Cables & Covers until we discovered the Patriot Power Generator 1500 or 1800. Does anyone have any experience with the solar generators?

We look forward to hearing from you. Thank you for your time.

    Mirna.

  7. Greetings,

I am learning how to use this new forum.  Where is the thank you box? The little heart icon doe not have the same meaning as a clear "thank you."  Could this be re-instituted? I appreciate thanking others for their posting and feedback.

    Thank you,

    Mirna and PK

  8. Dear Travelers:

We are in the process of learning as much as possible before the Ollie arrives in late Spring. It was recommended that we buy a Honda Generator EU 2200i series.  We appreciate your feedback on which one would be quieter, better for the environment, and easier on Ollie's equipment.  We are planning on boondocking. Thank you.

  9. Greetings:

Compression refrigeration is a very interesting topic and something we will consider for our Oliver in the future (we recently placed our order). However, as the researcher in our team, I came across Eutectic Plates. Has anyone in this forum used them? Thank you for your feedback.

General link to eutectic plates: https://www.google.com/search?q=eutectic+plates+refrigeration&rlz=1C1CHBF_enUS720US720&oq=eutectic+plates&aqs=chrome.3.69i57j0l7.8773j0j1&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

  10. We are studying different routes for our future return trip from Hohenwald, TN. Has anyone taken the following section from Cheyenne, Wyoming to Buffalo, Wyoming using Hwy 25? We are heading in the Spring to Livingston, Montana and then to Yellowstone! We are planning on driving 4 hours a day. This will allow for a more relaxing return home (we have 7-8 days for the return trip). Any suggestions on nice stops either for campgrounds, national parks or other worthwhile areas to visit are greatly appreciated.

Thank you and Safe, Peaceful, and Happy travels to all!

    Mirna and PK.

  11. Thank you, John! This is very helpful! I have been wondering how to create a checklist. Excellent! We are working little by little to understand as much as possible before receiving our trailer and to find all of these links is outstanding. Thank you for taking the time to do these.
