For now I am not going to debate anyone here or be moderated or whatever.
I might have missed a comment or two but it looks like everyone here was trying to help. Who was censoring you?

$1280 was my quote for Sunbrella. I passed. Wax on, Wax off.

I'd suggest Summit Racing Equipment if you want legit parts for cheap. They ship all over the US.
Summit Racing is 20 minutes from the Timken factory and is an authorized distributor. Odds are good they are legit. 😁

It is the weight of your specific trailer.
Very cool. I assumed I would need to put it on a scale to get the exact weight. I was expecting ours to be much closer to the weight of yours based on our options.
If anyone is curious, here are the weight impacting options:
Standard Layout
Composting Toilet
Microwave Delete
Single Awning
Lithium Pro Package
20 Lbs Propane
Standard Radio Antenna
Standard Water Heater
Extra 30 Amp
Propane Quick Connects

I noticed that the tire and loading information sticker specifies that the weight of cargo should "never exceed 2195 Lbs." Knowing the GVWR is 7000 Lbs, the sticker suggests our trailer weighs 4805 Lbs.
I'm wondering if 4805 is the exact weight of the trailer given the options we selected or if everyone's simply says the same thing regardless.

I think of going the delete way.
Last I checked, Oliver removed the microwave delete option on the 2022 build sheets.

Memo from Xantrex: http://www.xantrex.com/documents/Inverter-Chargers/Freedom XC/FXC PRO Remote compatibility Memo.pdf
Note: This memo is from 8 months ago. I'd be curious to know what panel part numbers/serial numbers are on the units that are acting up.

At least you have a long time to figure it out! 🤪 Congrats on pulling the trigger!

Nice find! I would assume the fan speed or on/off state is linked to load or a simple temperature sensor in the unit itself. I wonder what is causing load/heat after the battery disconnect event - actual load or a bug.

Seems a local would be better to work with
GS is local.

Maybe a lawyer on the forum can better explain how overloading one system and killing someone/yourself is not a liability but overloading another system is.

The solution is simple - and most competent fabricators can build an appropriate solution.
It is simple once you exhaust all other reasonable options which include a back and forth with the sales team on utilizing their receiver as the base of your custom modification only to find out they won't even sell it to you with a piece left off. This conversation was after searching the forums for weeks looking at all of the custom designs done by users over the years.
Then you actually have to find a local fab that is competent and have them build it from scratch based off the data you've collected during your month long forum investigation. Hopefully the end result is better than something Oliver could offer... hopefully.
Or... I could check a box and sign my name next to a box that says "You agree to never load our 2 inch receiver over the weight limit of X." This would be in addition to the legalese I've already agreed to which I'm sure absolves Oliver of any liability for anything an idiot could dream up... *deep breaths* 🤪
I'll let you know how my gamble works out: https://www.gsfabricating.com/

It was their lawyers who are responsible, is my suspicion.
They should get a second opinion and have someone draft a liability waiver. I've wasted more time than I care to admit looking for 2" receiver solution. 😡

I bought all the parts and built the cable
I was researching cables last night and that solution sounds far better than the ideas I was seriously considering. If you have a bill of materials and you care to share it, I'd love to copy it. 😁

I remember that post and actually bookmarked it. Keeping that line empty never crossed my mind so I'm very grateful you mentioned it. Here is the post for anyone curious:

Oliver took a 2" receiver and welded a insert into this receiver to make it a 1-1/4 receiver. They did that as they do not want more that 150 pounds (as I was told) mounted on the back of the Oliver.
I gave up on the Oliver receiver and I can't get over the fact that they are still saying this. Nothing about a 1.25" receiver prevents people from overloading it. Towing a trailer is all about knowing and following weight limitations. GVWR, payloads, tongue weights, etc; all of which can kill you when ignored.

I also have the composting toilet (no black tank use) and have drained the water in the toilet water line, so I don't need extra heat in those areas.
Is the water line to the toilet open by default when ordering new with the composting toilet option? What was the process to drain it and keep it drained?
What brand of heat cable did you go with?
Thanks!

The Pivot v2 and the NV 2.0 are both "NOT RV compatible." The Oliver hitch is great if you already have a 1.25" RV compatible rack that you like. If your rack is 2.0", using any adapter will reduce the weight rating of the rack.

SensorPush also has some new units out with better battery life and slightly better accuracy: HT.w and HTP.xw
https://www.sensorpush.com/sensor-comparison
I'm a big fan. The data is exportable and the mobile app does what it needs to do and nothing more.

I believe Oliver is connected to this forum - as it is a feedback loop, and an important first hand accounting.
I have a lot of respect for a company that doesn't censor customer feedback/issues on the forums they host and pay for. I don't expect a flawless product because I've read a large percentage of the posts made here over the years; I do expect a trailer that far exceeds the standards found in the rest of the industry. I also have expectations that each year, the quality of the product will improve. This is especially the case when the price increases are outpacing material costs and general inflation.
I'll be documenting my trailer's build quality and trouble spots because I want companies like Oliver to succeed and constantly improve. A public forum creates the perfect "feedback loop" for better or worse. Hopefully always the former! 😁

Any suggestions on pressure for a 2021 Elite II weighing 5000 lbs (unloaded). Ours is being delivered in 3 weeks and I'd rather not have the thing rattled to death by someone that tows these like a feather is hitched up. 🤪 If the factory won't do it for me, I'm hoping the delivery company will.

I don’t think this company is still in business.
The facebook page hasn't been updated in ages. http://perfectcasita.com/ was updated in early 2019 but the e-commerce pages are broken on both http://perfectcasita.com/ and http://lowprolockdown.com
Really cool product. Maybe the 2020 RV madness will open them back up for business.
(469) 312-1222 if anyone wants to give their listed number a try.

Land Cruiser 200 Towing thread

We're getting the LC ready for spring and decided to go the air bag route. I remember @John E Davies mentioning he uses a manual pump for his. A couple questions:
Do the Firestone bags come with a hose fitting compatible with your pump?
What pump are you using?
I'm also just going to have the shop change the oil and was curious if anyone runs 0W-30 or 5W-30 instead of the caps 0W-20. Our 2019 manual specifically mentions using a higher viscosity oil if the engine will be under "extreme load conditions," but most people (including my dealership) don't know or care about that suggestion. The topic has come up a few times on IH8MUD as well.
I'd love to hear from those that actually use their LCs to tow.
Thanks!
