I just love waking up in the Oliver, crack the window shade open a few inches. Looking to see, what kind of day will it be? 😂
Heck - at my age, I just enjoy waking up! 😇

While I did not have this specific discussion with the folks at Oliver - I doubt that Oliver is completely eliminating ALL propane from the 2026 models. I suspect that there will still be propane for use with things like the water heater, furnace, outdoor grills and firepits.

We are still investigating a way to get older hull number plaques via Oliver's normal ordering process (and other avenues), but, I believe that this will take some time (i.e. early Fall at the earliest).
A bit of an update on getting "older hull number plaques -
We have investigated (with great help from Matt Duncan) using either one of the two sources that Oliver has used in the past for these plaques. Unfortunately, neither one of these companies is interested in producing limited numbers (i.e. one or two at a time) even if the small orders are combined with a larger order from Oliver.
The good news is that apparently there are at least a couple of individuals that can produce these plaques at prices (including shipping) under $50.00 each. Matt is currently in the process of finding the original "artwork" that is in digital form and getting in house approvals for the use of this artwork so that it can be used by owners wishing to obtain these plaques for their Oliver.
Hopefully we will have complete details within the next several weeks.

Maybe they were giving owners the option in the early models too?
Yep - there were many things that could be "Optioned" back in the day.
But, then we started to "complain" about quality control. So, the solution was to curb options.

I think I would be miserable with the limited working surface. Maybe that change happened in a previous model?
Back (in the day) all propane cooktops were oriented with the "back-splash" opening towards the curb-side of the Ollie. However, (as Mossemi states above in about 2017) because we owner's kept asking for the cooktop to be oriented with the back-splash oriented towards the rear of the trailer, the company listened and made the rear facing back-splash the "norm". Some of us said that this not only allowed the back-splash to help deter "splashes" from reaching the bed area but it also increased counter space. In reality, since the area that the cooktop covered didn't actually change, there wasn't any real additional counter space achieved and there was some concern that if a person reached across the cooktop with the front burner lit, there could be a risk of catching a sleeve on fire.
With the new convection cooktop there is much less risk of a sleeve catching on fire. However, there will be the need to have pots and pans that are compatible with convection cooking.

On a positive note, the accent wall, doesn't look bad and is smooth. The only concern is that you now have a fixed color palette that you will always have to take into consideration... It is a nice touch but doesn't allow a complete color customization as you will have to keep to the grey tones...
And, basically this grey wall covering is NOT removable. It is applied to the wall prior to installation. At present there is no option for ordering an Ollie without this covering, but, I've heard that there is a continuing discussion about this (and other things) inside the company.

It was full of brown slime!
Also this is a "nice" reminder as to at least one of the reasons we sanitize the fresh water tank.

I took the Oliver tour at the factory in Tennessee last week from one of the Oliver sons. I asked if they ever offered other colors. They said only 2 other colors were ever made by Oliver, one in RED and one in Black. He doesn't recall if they were sold or kept back, nor where they are at the moment.
But I thought that was an interesting tidbit!
Try THIS Thread for pics on the colored Olivers.

Has anybody been able to source the shade clips besides from Oliver? And if so, source and part number please?
A couple of years ago I secured a small bag of these clips - probably 20 or so.
Be happy to send you a couple if that is what you need.

For what its worth -
Jim Oliver's hull #1 is currently sitting outside the Oliver Sales/Service building in Hohenwald right in line with a bunch of other Ollies.
Mr. Oliver's #1 is easily picked out because it doesn't have a rear window, how "diamond plate" "boxes" under the frame that were used for additional storage, has a satellite dome on the roof, has "square" porch lights (these were on both the Legacy I's and II's until early 2016.
If you are in Hohenwald, be sure to ask to take a tour of this Ollie - the interior has many other "different" features.

Jason Essary and Jason Ballentine told me that these two Olivers were bound for Seattle. They should be there by now and getting ready for new owners.

Bill, I hope you have lots of fish in your cooler. We’re on the Washington coast and we haven’t seen a single Oliver all month! Mike
I never keep trout unless I'm back packing and need dinner.
Actually, I'd much rather have a steak.
I just got home from a stop at the Mothership and there were a number of Olivers there. And, Craig & Vicki and Steve & Debbie were celebrating the first day of ownership of their brand new Ollies!
Bill
p.s. also, the Russo's were in the Sales office filming a review of the brand new 2026 Elite II. Hopefully they will have that up on YouTube soon.

Saw two Ollie's headed north being hauled on the back of a semi just north of Kansas City at about 9am this morning. Other than seeing an Oliver Elite I headed west into Dubois, WY about a week ago and camping for several days with another Elite II about a month ago, that is all I've seen in the past two months on the road. However, I'm guessing that will change when I land at the Mothership tomorrow afternoon.

Yesterday (June 28, 2025) I was heading West on Interstate 40 and saw a silver pickup with a silver topper towing an Elite II. They were headed East just East of exit 392.
Hopefully they were not too delayed by the (ongoing) construction through the Gorge.

If you look under the rear of that new truck, somewhere there will be a decal stating that you need a WD hitch if the hitch weight is 500 pounds or greater.
ALL 1/2 ton trucks have something like this.
If for no other reason - I could not afford the liability of not using the Andersen in the event of an accident. I happen to think that performance and safety are also improved in using it, but, those things are more of a personal choice.

If you can't make it to Idaho and still want a mini-version of lava fields, you can always try Snow Canyon State Park. This park is located north of St. George, Utah with the lave field hike at GPS: 37.222005386630634, -113.64194019098785.
There's also lava tubes and petrified sand dunes here.

2026 YM Oliver awning style windows and other changes
in Ollie Modifications
Posted
Oliver just might have one left over - but - hurry to find one in that I understand that these sinks are difficult to come by.
The main reason that Oliver changed windows is that the manufacturer has stopped making them. Therefore, they are no longer available.
