Boilermaker Chemist
I am posting this in case anyone else has the same problem. The gooseneck on one of my reading lights came loose. The flange is attached to the ceiling with two rivets. I drilled out the rivets with a 1/8” drill bit to get access to the lock nut that holds on the gooseneck. I removed the lock nut, coated the treads with Blue LocTite and re-tightened. Then simply reattached the flange using 1/8” diam x 3/8” long rivets. Problem solved. 1 5 Mike & Ann 2021 Tundra DC SR5, Improved Racing MHX-514 transmission cooler 2023 LE II - Hull #1420 - "Hank the Tank", Truma A/C, Furnace and WH package, AGM/solar
Patriot
@Boilermaker Chemist Nice job! It’s just another one of the fasteners that may at times loosen up with the earth quake happening whileunder way. I try and make it a point to check all the fasteners especially during a long trip. This morning I just completed a “snug tight”check on the pex connector white compression fittings below deck. I always manage to find one or two that just need a good hand tightening. 5 2020 OLEII - Hull #634 aka- “XPLOR” TV 2021 F350 6.7 liter Diesel Lariat Ultimate Tremor Retro upgrades - Truma Aventa 13.5 AC, Alcan 5 leaf pack, Alcan HD shackles & HD wet bolts, 5200lb axles. Thanks for the tip on checking the compression fittings. I will do that. 2 Mike & Ann 2021 Tundra DC SR5, Improved Racing MHX-514 transmission cooler 2023 LE II - Hull #1420 - "Hank the Tank", Truma A/C, Furnace and WH package, AGM/solar
