Well said, Larry. The Ollie is a perfect RV for boondocking . . . Put on a good solar package, and with its water and propane capacity, why you can just boondock your little heart plumb silly.

We have a trip planned to Glacier National Park, will be there 4 nights with no hook ups, and then 2 nights at Wind Cave National Park. It's nice having that solar panel doing its thing up on the roof.

In April we spent some time at the Grand Canyon in the National Park Campground with no hook ups. Nice.

In that grainy old cell phone photo, we are boondocking at 10,022 feet of elevation in the front range of the Rocky Mountains, within 100 yards of the very cool Cumbres pass steam excursion train station. Located eighteen miles North of Chama New Mexico, it is just barely in Colorado. There is a USFS campground a few miles away, but we wanted the exotic ambiance of the ancient train station with all of it's sights , sounds, and smells of days gone by. We could hear that steam engine pulling hard for miles before it began to blow it's whistle at the yard limit marker and start slowing for it's stop at the station. Soon the brakeman and the engineer are swinging out the large water tank pipe to top off the train's water reservoir. The ringing of the train's bell and the calls of the Conductor and porters as they gave arrival and departure information was quite a experience and, it was all in the front yard of our free boondocking campsite !

Oh, yeah ! Boondocking, it's the bomb !

I would rather wake up in the middle of nowhere than in any city on earth 08' Oliver Legacy Elite HULL NUMBER 0003(sold)
