@mlb3820 Do you have the instructions for this mod posted online anymore? Do you still use the same setup?

mlb3820 sold his Oliver in March of 2019 and hasn’t posted since and the website he linked to is dead.  If you are looking for a timely response you might ask someone else your questions.

Overland's original mod is well- described on the first page of this thread.

Good luck in your table.

Neither Mr. nor Mrs. Claus has worked on this idea in awhile. Lol.

We'll see what 2021 brings in mods. 2020 has been pretty busy.

Thanks so much!   That looks perfect!   I didn't want to lose out on the basement door or the bedside drawer.   Great idea!

Just finished my install today of the side mount. Plan to use the table now.

Now I have a hatch into the basement, which I wanted for during cold  weather to get some heat to basement, while using a small fan. Will insulate the outside hatches at some point.

Thanks Overland for your post and Mattnan for your helpful hints.

I'm sure that Foy would be very happy for you to give him a call about that table top.

Both will surely look good in that new Ollie in five months.

Lagun Table Project Update:  Moved the table mount from night stand to street side bed rail using @Overland's detailed instructions:

Been wanting to finish this up since building the Lagun Table top last spring!!!

Used a bandsaw to rough cut the four 45-degree ends - then finished them with an end cut bit on the mill:

Screenshot2024-03-07at5_10_21PM.thumb.png.a7a1a14849f27cd1bf290b54403d7256.png

Screenshot2024-03-07at5_16_55PM.thumb.png.b3a76d7cd9154ff63ae49d0fc60b1cb2.png

Assembled finished parts and checked fitment on PORT side bed rail:

Screenshot2024-03-07at5_14_57PM.thumb.png.6d05d9bdf26dc44d7d315a234431d0dc.png

Used three 1/8" aluminum backing plates behind each of the mounting points:

Screenshot2024-03-07at5_23_42PM.thumb.png.c0e34f23a6f47e7b2949ea24f1e169e0.png

Now we've got nightstand drawer access with table in place - whereas before, the mount was just below the drawer making it impossible to gain access to the drawer with the table mounted there:

That is exactly where the previous owner of our Ollie mounted our Lagun.

Thanks, @Wandering Sagebrush!!!

Seems to really be the correct mount - almost seems silly to mount it below the nightstand drawer now...

What's nice is that we can still drop the table onto the bed rails which fills the gap making a "dog bed" for the 2 Knuckleheads.

The table resides in the closet (inboard side) when not in use.  We have two inserts with foam cushions (that we haven’t yet used) to fill the gap between bunks.  When stacked on the curbside bed, they make a nice countertop extension.

Nice job.

Looks like how I relocated/nstalled mine, thnaks to @Overland and @Mattnan and their instructions and parts list . I did not see the holes where the mount was installed before you movd it. You must have filled the holes.

Now you can install a hatch into the cellar.

I store my table top in the closet on the inside wall next to the head, when not in use. I use velcro to secure it to the wall.
