@John E Davies, I haven't found the easter eggs. 😐

But here's my "smile photo."

I call this tree on our property in NC my t-rex tulip tree. If you squint, you can see the open jaws, and neck outline.

This time of the year, the tulip poplars are in bloom, near the top, where the little blooms kind of look like tulips. In the lower branch/bottom jaw, you can see the blossoms. They look like teeth from a distance. 

These trees are usually kind of cone shaped. T rex is reaching for the sun, obviously.

The bird at the top was totally unplanned.

There is a row of wind turbines on the ridge on the far right horizon.

OK, maybe not Easter Eggs, but unexpected when I was going through the pics, since my wife took them.

Not really an Ollie pic, this is for Trainman. We stopped at the most excellent and wonderful Nevada Northern Railway in Ely. It’s a vast complex of buildings, depot/ museum/ gift shop, sheds, service buildings, machine shops, foundry, warehouses, and incredible old locos and equipment that were part of the vast Kennecott open pit mine, which stopped operations in the 1970s. That is the same company that operated the Kennecott Copper Mine in SE Alaska.  And once you pay your entry fee, you can wander around at your leisure. If a building isn’t padlocked you can enter!

I have been rooting around under the bath sink for the last two days. Yikes: unsecured wiring, gaffers tape, peeling aluminum tape…

 Disconnected the unused flush line, added a longer section where it teed into the main water line.

Found somebody’s lost boa under my floor, this seems to be quite common…

Added a 3 inch adjustable elbow from Home Depot, plus a whole bunch of extra insulation, bubble type up high where there was NONE installed, and a complete layer of 1” R5 pink stuff everywhere else.

Cut off three feet of the snake and attached to the elbow, rotated the elbow against the waste pipe and secure it in two places,

I get quite a bit more airflow now, some is due to the elimination of the extra duct, some is due to the free flowing steel elbow.Drilled return air holes in the top of the cubby nook thing.

Drilled my factory installed inspection plate in the closet to turn it into an air return.

Getting there….. I have lots more holes to drill because I am also going to completely eliminate the factory furnace inlet and insulate that wall completely to kill the horrible fan noise. All the return HV air will go through the wall and floor cavities and spaces.

@John E Davies have you modified your under sink storage “thingy” to be quick-disconnect?  I have seen some people have done that and briefly looked through your video list but didn’t see it.

I would certainly want to creat access to this area when I get my trailer.

The main issue with the factory install is that they use a sealant around the perimeter, it is easy to break the cubby free with a thin stainless putty knife, but it is a royal PITA to clean all the sealant off and apply new. I haven’t finished there yet, I plan to use exposed screws and no sealant at all, except I am applying liquid electrical tape to the water pump switch and light to seal them.

I don’t feel there is a need for a door as some owners have done, unless you want to store stuff in there like paper products…

I did have Oliver install a small inspection port in the closet, so I could at least take a peek in there to look for leaks. Any owner could do this pretty easily, mine is a 5 inch port.

I just don’t get why the installer felt he had to put sealer around all these small interior parts. Better cosmetics I guess. But why inside the closet? All of mine has yellowed already.

@John E Davies  Thanks John - that is helpful. I wouldn’t want a door either, I think we will use the nook thingy all the time. Some of the ones I have seen have installed knurled knobs on the outside where you can just remove them by hand and then open the compartment. 

I am guessing that could introduce water in that compartment as it would certainly be less watertight than one that was sealed with caulk. 

I like the cargo tie down in the closet. I have a few strips of these in the back of my truck on my bedslide.  Got very used to “seat track” in the Air Force flying on the heavies.

Almost done, this is the same Isotherm Cruise 130 that Oliver is now using. I have some paint touchup to do, and some sealing after the paint is fully cured. I will do a new thread when it is finished. It is remarkable how silent it is….

I am solo boondocking at a remote site on Lake Roosevelt, and I found this little guy in my attic.   

 

Sorry, I can’t say where this is, or I would have to shoot you, it is the best site in the best CG around here. Completely deserted this time of the year, probably because the lake level is 30 feet below the end of the boat ramp.

After taking mine out 8 or 10 times, I saw a great need for a door there. I'm in and out of there all the time for wiring or plumbing projects. I left it unattached for about a year once, I just put some purple duct tape around it, until Tali finally demanded it to be reattached. That's when I installed the door.

You'll know if it is leaking. There will be water running out the forward weep holes. Then you'll wish you had a door.
