How do I create a signature?

I found a post that tells how to create a signature, but when I go to "edit profile" it makes no sense.   Can someone please help?

I’m on my phone right now so I don’t know if it’s the same on a computer, but try going to ‘account settings’ instead of ‘edit profile’. On the phone, there’s a drop down menu called ‘settings area’ from which you can chose to edit your signature. It’s kind of hard to notice because it’s in grey text.
