Any ideas on warming the bathroom and closet?

John E Davies

Does your bathroom and closet stay cold when running the furnace?

Thanks for the video. Dometic doesn’t spend a lot of effort on usability sometimes. I think quite a few owners (including me) have had the same question.

Same problem in our camper van . . . . seems to be universal across RVs with Dometic thermostats.

I believe that a smaller diameter tube could be used, with less internal air-to-surface friction and have greater air-push velocity,

I think moving air is cooling air, so the bigger tube should allow a larger air flow. Would think the smaller tube would increase the velocity and hence cool quicker? The turbulence in the standard helps heat the pipe and hence the plumbing pipes that reside next to it. Getting the air there efficiently is important, but so is providing a path of air back to the return of the furnace. Think the system might be improved if the first vent is closed. That way it's air is not circulated back to the return and pushed further down the system...

Semi-related- I've been thinking about putting a 12v tank heater pad either on the bottom or if the pressure doesn't work, the side of the composting toilet to help it continue composting while colder, and also to help it desiccate when there is extremely moist air.

Also thinking of putting one on the wall near the cold spot, to prevent condensation there.
