John E Davies
“Needs a good scrub. Previous owner painted it with latex”..... Good grief. OTH maybe cutting 8 inch holes in the hull and adding 600 pounds of cast iron and an open flame may not be the best solution. Not to mention all the soot inside the walls and cabinets. And the bugs from bringing in firewood. And the overhead clearance problem when towing...... Oh, never mind. This boggles the mind. Moderators SeaDawg Posted August 28, 2020 Moderators Share Posted August 28, 2020 (edited) What a shame. Guessing this may have been used as a hunting camp, perhaps? I love these old Silver streaks and Streamlines. My brother came across a late 50s Silver Streak in even worse condition a few months ago. (The door had blown open in a Minnesota winter...) Decided it wasn't a great project for him/us. https://www.thevintagesatgalwaydowns.com/history-of-silver-streak Sherry Edited August 28, 2020 by SeaDawg 2008 Ram 1500 4 × 4 2008 Oliver Elite, Hull #12 Florida and Western North Carolina, or wherever the truck goes.... 400 watts solar. Moderators SeaDawg Posted September 8, 2020 Moderators Share Posted September 8, 2020 They look big, but I think the typical Streamline is (only ) 7.5 ft wide. More than an Ollie, but much less than most "modern" stick built trailers . 2008 Ram 1500 4 × 4 2008 Oliver Elite, Hull #12 Florida and Western North Carolina, or wherever the truck goes.... 400 watts solar.
