Window screws breaking

Has anyone noticed the heads of the screws holding the interior window trim are breaking off. It's like they were all over tightened at the factory weakening or just breaking the heads that are beginning to fall out. Other than drilling out each one does anyone know a remedy for this. Cheap imported screws one issue I think along with wrong screw gun setting.

I remember this being a problem with some of the 2017s. I haven't heard anything since then. What year is your Oliver?

I'll see if I  can find a thread for you.

Here you go.

Just curious, what's your hull number? Looks like most of the others were constructed about the same time.

The screws only hold the inner and outer trim rings together. They are not inherent to a watertight seal. The easiest way to get the broken ones out are to remove them all and release the inner ring. The broken screws can be removed with a pair of vice grips. The do not go into a hole in the outer frame, rather a channel that runs around the frame. This will prevent you from having to try to line up all the screws when reinstalling.
