First I might try 3M double sticky tape as the glue is still stuck on the fiberglass panel which is not that smooth, but the glue surface does look smooth and the other part has a smooth surface. All being said, the 3M tape will hold more then you think it will and for a long time. A lot of glues that were mentioned above are being misused for that type of application for the materials involved. trainman "First I might try 3M double sticky tape as the glue is still stuck on the fiberglass panel which is not that smooth, but the glue surface does look smooth and the other part has a smooth surface" Good idea. 3M makes some great products and you make a good point. 1 John and Debbie, Beaverton, Oregon, 2017 Ford Expedition EL 4x4 3.5 liter Ecoboost, with heavy duty tow package. Galway Girl
Hull 505 has has that support block lost once and fall off twice. Even with good cleaning, and JB Weld. When I get home from Alaska the block will be bolted on after cleaning, scoring, and JB welding. I hope to not have to fix this a 4th time. Galway Girl
Got a note back from service stating that they started scoring back of block in the 2021 production to improve adhesion. My block was an older stock 2020 version smooth on both sides. 2019 Elite II (Hull 505 - Galway Girl - August 7, 2019 Delivery) Tow Vehicle: 2021 F350 King Ranch, FX4, MaxTow Package, 10 Speed, 3.55 Rear Axle Batteries Upgrade: Dual 315GTX Lithionics Lithiums - 630AH Total Inverter/Charger: Xantrex 2000Pro Travel BLOG: https://4-ever-hitched.com
Frank C
The blocks on my cover never came off, but after seeing a few owners have issues, I secured all three blocks with white pre-painted aluminum trim screws (available at any hardware store like Lowe’s, etc., but I had some in my garage parts stash from a previous house project). Drilled through from the outer surface of the cover and into the aluminum block and then threaded in the screw. With the white painted head on the screw, it’s barely noticeable on the white fiberglass.

CnC
If it were mine, I'd clean the surfaces and use VHB tape and give it 48 hours to set. The industry has been using this stuff for years and I have, too. One of the major solar installers uses it WITHOUT screws to secure solar panels to the roofs of RVs. They claim they've never lost a solar panel, yet. NOTE: For that application, I used it WITH screws 😉 VHB = Very High Bond Charlie. 1 Arizona | 2020 Oliver Elite II Twin bed Hull #617 | 2021 Ram 1500 e-Hemi 4x4
