I love those naked Ollies. How are you adjusting to the RV? Have a great trip, what route are you planning? Every time a member posts a pic of the factory campground it looks more scruffy….😳

Haha, this is not factory camping ground, though I wish the factory camping ground could be this good. I hires painted cowboy to deliver the trailer to Seattle. I think I am OK handling good weather, but not so confident on a 2400 mile trip with unpredictable weather.

Every trip you ever take will have unpredictable weather.

I agree, plus from my direct experience, towing in the Seattle/ Puget Sound area is MUCH more stressful and traumatic than towing in most other locations, it would be a lot easier for you to learn on the trip back. Just bypass the major urban areas. The topography makes that impossible in Seattle.

Thanks a lot, everyone! I am on this trip on my own. My husband is not into camping at all, so I would rather stay on the safe side 😞 I do agree towing in the Seattle/Puget sound area is more challenging than here in Tennessee, I guess that's the price we pay for having nice coast and mountains 😞

Shiny and new!  I remember that excitement and joy.  I also remember that sense of trepidation with systems that were new to me and not wanting to "wreck" anything on my new "baby".  The excitement of planning trips with this new thing and then the enjoyment of actually going on those trips.  The promise of many years of travel together.

Hopefully all of these things came with your Ollie.  ENJOY!

Bill

p.s.  that sure is one strange antenna on the roof of your Ollie!😄

I agree with you! After traveling, by car/truck extensively in all 50 states and all the Canadian provinces, the Puget Sound is one of my favorite places. We spend a week or two there every year. I look forward to have easier access to the Gulf Island again too.

Haha, that's the WiFi booster of the RV resort, happened to look like it's on top of my Olie, but it actually stands on a separate pole. I do have a spot with very good WiFi signal 😁

Hate to say it, but we've found the worst state to tow in is our own - Connecticut. We've towed all over the US and had our closest calls with Connecticut drivers. Everybody in Connecticut, Mass., and NY is always in a hurry. (Interesting observation: in other parts of the country, if we asked how far away a destination was, they often answered in miles. For instance, "Johnsonville is about 20 miles from here." In CT, you get the answer in time, e.g. "Hartford is about half an hour from here." Perfectly demonstrates the emphasis on "making time" when driving, and that leads to aggressive drivers.) My BP always goes up when we hit the CT border.
