Stainless wire spice rack/ shower caddies for galley and bath, looking for recommendations.

Recommended Posts

I am looking for non-permanent (no drill) racks for shower sundries (shampoo, body wash, tooth paste, face towel) and also pill bottles and contact lens solutions in the galley, high up behind the range. There is 24” wide x 9.5” tall space there (with the range cover lifted for use, which we rarely actually use.) I haven’t measured the bathroom walls, but there seems to be plenty of room. None of the racks would be loaded while traveling.

There are a bunch, here are three I found. Any comments or other suggestions are most welcome.

I am leaning toward the last one, because it doesn’t rely on a big adhesive sheet of clear plastic. And I only want 304 stainless, not “chrome metal” or plastic. My wife has been bugging me to get this done. Thanks.

John,

For what it is worth, we have the paper towel holder version of the last one you have mentioned and it has stayed attached for almost  three years with only one suction cup.

We have been happy with it.

I like the method for locking down the suction cups in the ipegtop.

I like plastic better than stainless wires, personally.  I take mine down and run them through the dishwasher. These from target are entering their 15th season. They still have a similar group of products at Target, in the bath section.20220407_135043.jpg.964399724743fe9928e729e79cbb8dda.jpg

We just received the middle one by Design.  It's another "you get what you pay for".  Cheapish.  The plastic that the  unit hangs from doesn't look the best.  I would rather have a nice OXO countertop but we need the space. IMG_5087.thumb.jpeg.c887988b7774d14888e2b0f066d1e72a.jpeg

Hi John

I have several of the last pictured racks.  I keep them filled in transit and they've never come down. Lowes and Homes Goods is where I found them.  Amazon too.

The trick is to wet the suction cup 1st before applying.  Also applying on the flat part of the wall and not a curve. I have the Elite so she has quite a few curves.
