History, Features & Benefits

OUR FAMILY'S Heritage

At Oliver Travel Trailers, camping is not just a hobby - it's our family's heritage. We cherish the moments spent together, creating memories in the great outdoors, surrounded by laughter, cooking, and storytelling. It was from these incredible family adventures that the idea for Oliver Travel Trailers was born.

In The Beginning

Years ago, twin brothers Jim and John Oliver realized they could build campers to enhance these experiences further. They were determined to create something better that would truly allow families like their own to enjoy every aspect of camping.

Starting in the garage, they hired a few people and spent two years perfecting the first Oliver. Every detail was carefully considered and improved upon. The brother's perfectionism drove them to develop a unique four-shell process, with inner and outer shells ensuring incredible strength and durability. Their goal was to design a camper to empower people to travel on their terms, whether at campgrounds, off-grid locations while working remotely, or even when accompanied by their loved ones and pets. They aimed to create a dynamic, user-friendly RV and establish a benchmark for exceptional quality and excellence.

Today and in the Future

Witnessing what other Oliver owners have done with their campers has been genuinely inspiring. Seeing the places they have traveled to and their experiences fills us with joy. Our customers have become part of the Oliver family, forming an Owner Association where relationships are built and networking flourishes.
After successfully selling over 1,500 travel trailers in 19 years, we are incredibly excited to announce that we are expanding our reach by establishing an exclusive network of dealers nationwide to bring the Oliver Experience to a location nearer to where you live. You no longer need to travel to Tennessee to view, purchase, and service your family's Ollie.

The Oliver Difference

We prioritize quality and craftsmanship, ensuring that each product is made the right way, not the easy way. At Oliver Travel Trailers, we excel at tackling challenges and producing exceptional products.

400 Hours for a Lifetime of Impact

Each travel trailer takes more than 400 hours to build, from production to delivery, while other brand's standard wood box trailer typically requires just 50 hours. Why does it take so long? We are dedicated to creating a product that's built to last for generations.

An Ever-Increasing Value

With Oliver, you'll find lower maintenance costs, one of the lowest costs of ownership of any trailer, and a high resale value (sometimes even matching the original price). Additionally, the aerodynamic design provides better fuel economy, helping you save on gas.

Double-Hull Design

The double-hulled fiberglass shell is at the core of our brand's pride. It takes four fiberglass shells to build an Oliver, two inner and two outer shells. Design benefits include off-grid & 4-season camping, easy & stable towing, better storage capacity, premium materials, self-containment, aerodynamics, & an all composite exterior shell.

Enclosed Plumbing

The Oliver Travel Trailer features a revolutionary enclosed plumbing system designed to protect the plumbing from external elements. The enclosed plumbing system safeguards your pipes and fittings from harsh weather conditions, ensuring reliable performance in both hot and cold climates. Maintenance is simplified with strategically placed access points.

Electrical Wiring Harness

The wiring harness in an Oliver Travel Trailer is a critical component designed to ensure reliable electrical function throughout the vehicle. Each harness is meticulously crafted to provide power to lights, appliances, heating systems, and other essential features.

Heavy Duty Frame

It is complemented by a galvanized-dipped steel chassis sub-assembly featuring zinc anodes to enhance corrosion resistance. Dexter Nev-R-Lube axles, leaf springs, and gas shocks improve ride quality.

Towing Features

The Oliver trailer is expertly designed for a steady and smooth towing experience. Go wherever your tow vehicle goes.

Slim Design & Balance

Positioning the holding tanks low between the shells improves tongue weight for better balance and stability. Batteries above the axles ensure balanced weight distribution. The outer lower shell encases a 2x5-inch aluminum frame for added strength and reduced sway for reliable towing performance.

Aerodynamics Matter

The Oliver has curved corners and sleek sides to enhance towing aerodynamics and fuel efficiency. The underside of the trailer is enclosed to conceal tanks and water lines from outside elements. This design further lessens air drag, enabling the trailer to glide through with minimal resistance.

Four Season Camping

Oliver's four season travel trailer design resulted from years of extensive camping with other brands. This experience inspired us to create a better all-season trailer that is higher quality, more efficient, and easier to maintain. See for yourself the quality, craftsmanship, and engineering that make our trailers a top choice.

Year-Round Adventures

Our travel trailers are built with a double-hull fiberglass shell, air gap, and insulation. This innovative construction is similar to the insulation found in double-pane windows. The meticulous design offers superior comfort, regardless of the season or weather conditions you may encounter.
