We have ordered our Elite II and expect to take delivery the end of June 2019. We are excited t0 start a new chapter in our lives with our new Ollie, trading our seafaring ways for wandering aimlessly across the country. Having read the forums I realize our learning curve will be quite sharp,   I anticipate we will be reaching for the forum life ring.

Elite 11 delivered  June 24, 2019.  TV 2019 Chevy 2500 Duramax.  First fiberglass hull that does not float, swapping white wake for a black ribbon. Hull number 482. We are happy campers

Under and Land -

Welcome!

The plant tour is great - take a bunch of pictures.  They will help you later on if you should need help in trying to do a Mod or if something should go wrong and you are trying to fix it.  There is a ton of info here on the Forum and while our "search function" is not the greatest, I'd just poke around looking for things that catch your attention.  Then ask questions - if it has been covered before I'm sure that someone will point that out.  If it hasn't been covered then we will all learn something new.

You only have between now and June to get trips planned and questions answered - so - let the fun begin.

Bill

Thank you Bill I am counting on that. We took the tour on the 19th of December and I was impressed.

Yes lots of pictures for structure points etc. great when some mods are made thanks.

A bad question and let's hope it never happens to anyone.  It doesn't appear to be many repair options in a collision.  Has Oliver ever experience this?

Oliver has a very talented staff and between the welding and the fiberglass division it would have to be really bad. There was an Oliver owner that backed into something and took out the complete top back quarter panel and fixed up like new so there is always a a helpful hand at the Oliver Camper division. Travel safe and enjoy.....we sure do. Thanks Gary

Yes, the team at Oliver has it covered for virtually any major repair.  Also, most any good fiberglass boat yard or a body shop that takes care of Corvettes can do fiberglass work.  If I were going to take my Ollie to anyone besides the team at Oliver I would insist that they at least talk to the people at Oliver to make sure that the resins used and the gelcoat type and color were the same and/or compatible with the original Oliver stuff.

are you sure they won’t float?

That's funny, dana. I don't want to be the first to try...

Welcome aboard, folks. You'll find a lot of carryover from boating systems to enjoying your Ollie. "Pumpout" of black and grey is much simpler!
