Anybody know what has to be done to get the backlight to work in the thermostat on 2015 Elite II, and is there an adjustment for the temperature anticipator.

You will quickly discover the Oliver Travel Trailer company will change out various components as needed. Because of the variation with the community of owners, a pic is worth a thousand words. Attached below is the thermostat in my Ollie (Hull #147, June 2016). I suspect you have a different thermostat. Am I right?
If you do have the same thermostat as me, the user manual in the link below may be helpful. Dometic is good about having helpful user manuals out on the web. We just need to find the one that matches your unit.

Thanks for thanks for the reply Buzzy, that’s not the one I have a Colman with a black RV comfort I think it’s made by Colman. The display does not light up and is hard to see at night guess I’ll have to ack Tommy about it.

I was unaware that the Dometic Penguin single zone RV Air Conditioner Thermostat has a back light. I certainly wish it did. If someone know differently please post how to activate it.

We have the same thermostat, and it does not light up either. Guess I never thought it was supposed too.

The manual attached to the link below may match your model number. This manual is for use with model number 8330B331 or 8330B335 (one is the black case and the other is the white case.) You may have to pop the case to verify the model number. (Interestingly, the thermostat takes a 2 amp fuse.)
There does not appear to be a setting for continuous backlight display.
By the way, this manual should be contained in the owner’s binder given to the previous owner. If you can not locate the binder, you might inquire if the Oliver Travel Trailer company (OTT) has an electronic version. I was able to obtain one (OTT 2016 Elite II) from Matt (mduncan) our webmaster. Keep in mind, it is a very large file and arrives via Dropbox.

You could always replace the current therm with a new one. Here is a site that talks about it.August 7, 2016 at 10:01 pm #37363
I like the idea of replacing the thermostat but I don’t see the emergency heat switch or did I miss something.August 8, 2016 at 1:06 am #37376
Dometic has come out with the new CT Thermostat to replace the old Single Zone RV Air Conditioner Thermostat.
