Alright, now make it two Bill's from North Carolina that have welcomed you guys into this wonderful Oliver world.  Like Texas, we have beaches, but, unlike Texas, we also have mountains.  There's a bunch to see in this State.  But, before you get to any of that travel stuff you have an Oliver to build - good luck and enjoy the journey.

Marshall and Jeanette

Tali and I would like to wish you a big special welcome to the most exclusive group of people in the world...The Oliver Owners!!!  We know you are just beginning an exciting new time in your lives, traveling in your new Oliver.  We have wanted to visit South Padre Island for a long time, perhaps you could advise us about that area?

?  I need to hijack this thread for just a minute for a quick discussion about Texas mountains....?

Head over here: http://olivertraveltrailers.com/topic/big-bend-national-park-texas/ for my post about our visit to Big Bend National Park, Texas.

Here's a view from near the top of Lost Mine Trail at about 7,000 feet:

Big Bend would be a great place for a future Oliver Rally.  We'll be at Guadalupe Mountains National Park, TX next week.

We've been through North Carolina and the mountains are beautiful.  We haven't camped there, but it is high on our list.

Now, back to welcoming Marshall and Jeanette!!

Mike

I just knew that some "sensitive" Texan was going to get me on that one.  OK, how about this - the North Carolina mountains are the oldest.

Welcome to the Ollie clan, TexasMarshall!  When you are not out wandering across the country, you will find that Texas has a well maintained and diverse State Park system as well as an active fiberglass trailer community.  I live in Mike & Carol's neighborhood.  If you both head up this way, I'd enjoy meeting you both.  After all, we're gonna be "kin".

Older might be better than bigger (coming from a recently retired "older" guy).?
