  1. John, yes I did check on those and they are ok. I am checking with Zamp et they said could be a resetting breaker between the controller and batteries? Not sure how to check that. They also indicate it could be the controller, I measured the input and output directly on the controller and waiting a response back from Zamp
  2. Unfortunately that is not the issue, my cables are screwed tight in the unit. Will continue to investigate. Thanks again for trying. Serge
  3. Thanks Bill, I will check that out and see if it solves the issue, will let you know.
  4. Hello, Looking for guidance with this recent issue we are having. The Zamp controller is doing all kinds of crazy things, all the lights will blink, then the screen may turn blank, then it shows that it is charging, then I have a code that it does not find the batteries, then it shows the battery are full. all of this within minutes. I have verified the connection to the batteries all is fine. Hence, as anyone had similar issues? And/or based on your experience could you provide me with the steps you would take to investigate the problem ( we are actually on the road). I suspect the issue is with the controller (my guess), rather then the solar panels. Anyone has experience in replacing the controller? Would it be complicated to replace? (I assume it would be simple). Greatly appreciate your support and looking forward for you input. PS: my batterie bank: Lithionics 2 X 315 Ah , Inverter Xantrex 3000w
  5. Issue resolved, after testing grounds, switches, etc. turn out that the issue was with the fuse… although it was burned the Led indicator beside the fuse was not lighted, the light indicator only turn on if when one of the reading lamp was turned on and the fuse removed. Furthermore there is still some power circulating in the system with the fuse removed. Pretty awkward, but with the fuse replaced all returned to normal and was able to install new lights to replace the original touch light. Thanks again for the guidance and assistance. Safe travel. Serge
  6. Thanks guys for the responses, I will try to check the ground and get back to you with my findings. Regards, Serge
  7. Hi, I am in the process of replacing the touch lights in my unit (4 out of 5 failled) and I am encountering a problem with the circuit that controls the touch lights, reading lamps, bathroom and closet, they all work but they are extremely dimmed. My unit has the 2 lithionics batteries and the currently show 13.4 V, however when I test the power at the touch light I am only obtaining 11.8 V All the other 12 v system seems to be working just fine, main cabin lights, jacks… Hence any assistance in figuring out this problem would be greatly appreciated. Regards and thank you in advance for your responses. Serge Hull 864
  8. Really like your statement, if you don’t mind I will steal it shamelessly and use it... I believe it applies to many situation. 🙂
  9. Truly appreciate everyone feedback, not sure if it will make my choice easier (Ha! Ha!) but certainly learned a few things that I will need to take in consideration before finalizing my choice. Serge
  10. Thanks for this precious feedback, regarding the inverter both package come with the 3000 watts. Originally the Pro Package came with LifeBlue brand batteries, I am not sure if now they still come with LifeBlue or Lithionics, I need to check this out. Galway Girl, you seems to have evaluated several options from Lithionics, do you know if the internal heating system is standard on the 200 AH or unique to the 315 AH? This is something I need to take in consideration as we live in Canada and unfortunately don’t have an ideal weather... SeaDawg, you’re experience is interesting, but at this point difficult for us to say how long we will be boondocking, I am assuming a week at a time as we would need to replenish food and drop our waste water. We will also probably consume more Amp/H than you considering our type of travel. Again thanks for your input. Serge
  11. Hello, My wife and I will be joining the community of Oliver owners in August. This is our first trailer (had a Westfalia for many years), we need to finalize our build sheet and although our minds are set on the options we want there is one we are still debating and that is the electrical group, our first choice was the Lithium Pro package (400 AH batteries) but now I see that we can opt for the Lithium Platinum package (630 AH). Your opinions, experiences are welcome on the pros and cons of such systems. We are looking at doing a mix of boon docking and and sometime regular campings but are not full time RVers. Looking forward to your input. Regards, Serge
