Hello, we are not Oliver owners...YET. We've always been attracted to Airstream travel trailers but have come to the conclusion that double-hull fiberglass designs are the way to go. We lived in North Texas for 35 years and occasionally would drive by a big Casita lot and always thought they looked quite nice. However, my wife and I currently live in Flagstaff, Arizona at an elevation of 7000 feet. In case you're not familiar with our region, it resembles Western Colorado more than the typical desert regions of Southern Arizona. In fact, Flagstaff currently rates as the 7th snowiest city in America. So it gets cold and a Casita travel trailer wouldn't cut it in the winter. I should also point out that my wife and I are currently interested in a travel trailer as an ADU (Accessory Dwelling Unit). In other words a place for family and friends to stay when visiting. Once parked the trailer would stay put and not be towed. I know that Oliver claims to be a 4 -season design but apparently some owners feel that they struggle in extended cold temperatures of sub-zero or single digit temps. Since we would have access to water, sewer and shore power, would extreme cold weather be a threat? Couldn't we simply run the heater enough to prevent the water and sewer systems from freezing? Thank you!
