Thought about the 30# tanks but 20# tanks just too convenient. Two tanks on the Ollie and two in dairy crates in the bed of the truck. Can get them refilled or exchanged.

So the answer is…five straight days of morning freezing temperatures, mostly mid 20’s but one of 12. One 36 hour period never above freezing. I had the Varioheat furnace at 68 and the Truma water heater on Eco. I did not open the basement door. All seems well after the fact. The outside shower is functioning normally. I used two and one half 20 pound bottles of propane. I left the Truma water heater and Varioheat on continuously.

Switch made. No explosion. Thanks again. 🤠

How do you change out an empty propane tank while the heater is running? I assume you turn the regulator to the one now in use, change the primary tank (the one that’s empty) and then switch the regulator back to the primary tank. Yes? Or do you have to shut everything down? 2023 LEII Hull #1304

If you are using the Varioheat at 68 degrees and the Truma on Eco to handle 15 degrees tonight, do you open the basement door to warm stuff around there, like maybe the outside shower pipes? Robert Youens, LEII, Hull #1304

Anyone besides me have a bit of a surprise with regard to the amount of the title, tax and license fee when they went to the courthouse to register their trailer? For me in Texas it was ~$5,000. I’m pretty sure I was informed that I wasn’t paying sales tax in Tennessee, but the amount in Texas was a significant add on to the cost of the trailer. Just feeling kind of ignorant and surprised. By the way, I turned on the fridge and it didn’t work off of shore power. Reconnected shore power and it worked great. Disconnected shore power and it didn’t work. Called Oliver and they said look at the back of the 12 volt fuse panel under the dinette seat. As they predicted the top wire barrel connector was not hooked-up. Reconnected it and voilà, it’s working great off of shore power

Hey everybody. Probable false alarm. I’m so sorry. I think I turned the refrigerator off this morning when I turned the thermostat dial to zero. I forgot I did that. I’m waiting a couple of days to see if it stays cold. I even have the sensors. To all of you, I am so sorry. This refrigerator is new to me. My apologies.

Hello. I just picked up our LEII 12/1/22. Hull #1304. Very nice. Wet cell batteries no solar, no inverter. The Isotherm refrigerator works like a champ on shore power; it doesn’t seem to work at all when traveling off of shore power. My understanding was that it would switch to D/C 12 volt when shore power was disconnected. Does anybody know anything about this? Is there a switch to flip?

I don’t remember being offered the Truma Varioheat option on the build list. I did get the Truma AC and water heater and antifreeze kit. I ordered my trailer around May. Just interested in the Varioheat option question. Is it included or was it something I missed?

We ordered the Truma water heater and the antifreeze kit. We’ll be sure it’s installed and we know how to use it. Thanks

I’m picking up my trailer and camping at Oliver on December 1st. Was planning a shakedown cruise to Nashville for 5 nights starting on December 2nd. It will be freezing in the 20’s every night. Hopefully at the campgrounds running the furnace all will be OK. When I move my trailer from one campground to another and there is a risk of freezing during the trip, what should I do?

I’m planning to get the base package on an LEII without an inverter. It will have an external solar plug. Question, does the water pump run on DC as well as AC? We like to be able to stop on occasion and use the toilet and thus the pump to flush it. Thanks
