  1. I made reservations for each stay, but so far the campgrounds have been maybe 10 to 30 percent full. It’s early in the season here, I suspect they will be a lot fuller in July. Most of the Provincial Parks have no water/electricity at each site but have water and dump sites in the park. A few have electricity at the camp sites. All have been really nice and beautiful camping sites. The private and National Parks have more facilities at each campground site. Our current camp site at Gros Morne National Park, has water and electricity.
  2. Yes they do, here’s another set. We are now headed for Gros Morne National Park
  3. Campground and Pictures from hiking around Blow Me Down Provincial Park
  4. Thank you for the feedback, we will be sure to see those sites. I agree the people here are very friendly.
  5. We will be on the rock for 2 months.
  6. Our first 3 nights were at Grand Codroy campground, 30 minutes north of the Channel-Port aux Basques ferry terminal. The campground overlooks a large meandering river. We found it to be very peaceful and well maintained. A short drive from the campground is the most westerly point on the island. The next 3 nights we are at Sandbanks Provincial Park on the southern shore of Newfoundland. It’s a four hour drive from our previous campsite, where you perfect your pothole avoidance techniques. There are beautiful sandy beaches a fairly short walk from the campground. We are heading north from here, to Blow Me Down Provincial Park.
  7. I have not calculated the actual tongue weight but estimate it between 600 - 700. We sometimes travel with the fresh water tank full depending on the circumstances. We have a 2019 Q7 with the large gas engine which gets around 26 mpg.
  8. Thanks I will keep an eye on that.
  9. We picked up our Elite II 2 1/2 weeks ago and have about 2500 miles towing it so far with our Q7. We have air shocks so we aren’t using any load levelers (which Audi says not to use). I’m very pleased with towing our Oliver behind the Q7. We have averaged 14 miles per gallon and it has completely adequate power and braking capabilities. We have been on a wide variety of roads from TN to Newfoundland with some gusty wind conditions. I have never felt like I needed more car at anytime. I do plan on getting some mud flaps for the rear wheels on the Q7, hopefully that will keep the trailer a little cleaner. Hopefully this will help a little if considering using a Q7 to pull your trailer.
