  1. Oh, and @SeaDawg, we do have a Zamp controller.
  2. @jd1923, the reason I'm asking is because we boondock 90% of the time, so we bought two Renogy 100 watt suitcases - one with a controller and one without. I asked Renogy for 2 diagrams - one showing how to connect one panel (w/the controller) to our external Zamp port, and the other diagram showing how to connect both panels together to our Zamp port, in case we need both panels. Renogy asked for the specifications I'm asking y'all for. I'm too clueless to know the answers! @rich.dev, you are correct, we do have the 340 watt Zamp panels - but that's as far as my brain comprehends.😬 @SeaDawg... okay, I'll go look for Oliver University. May they make it simple! We have 3 Li Lithionic lithum batteries. Do I need to know about them, TOO?🤯 How I wish my husband understood this stuff! @jd1923, you are right, we do have a 30A charger. Now I'll see if I can handle your equation.😊 Is a solar charger the same thing as a solar controller? Thank you all for your patience! Barb
  3. We recently purchased a new-to-us 2021 Elite 2. It came with the 340 watt rooftop solar panels. Could someone provide us with the specifications of those solar panels, specifically their wattage, voltage and current ratings? Not only do we need that information, but we’d also like to know where one finds that information. Thank you! We are truly clueless about anything electric or solar.🫤 Barb
  4. We don’t have a Victron Smart System… and what in the world is a shunt?🤔
  5. Only needing one panel sounds nice and easy. What is a shunt?
  6. @Geronimo John, based on your experience and advice we ordered and are awaiting our two Renogy 100s! I can’t tell you how grateful I am for all your help!😊 We have 3 Li3 Lithionic batteries. When the panels arrive I’ll be yelling for help. As I mentioned in my original post, we are definitely dummies when it comes to all things electric. So, even when you wrote “measure your battery SOC” I have no clue what your mean. 😅 Oh, and we do have onboard solar, as well as the Zamp external port with two round holes, like your attached photo above.
  7. @SeaDawg, that’s exactly what I needed. Thanks! And, @jd1923, you’re helping it all sound very doable, now. Thanks!
  8. Geronimo John, has anyone told you you’re a poor salesman?🤣 I appreciate your offer, and I appreciate even more your honesty. Now you have me 2nd guessing - which is a good thing! We’re in our late 60s - we’re not getting any stronger and our vehicle is getting any larger. So, it seems we need to slow down with this decision. Thanks so much for your input! And jd923… First of all, how does one highlight a forum name on here like you and GJ did? Secondly, thanks so much for the link to that thread. Installing a new port - or, actually wiring a new port - would be beyond my expertise, but surely an rv place could do it. Thanks!
  9. We are new Oliver Elite 2 owners, and we want to add the 200 watt Renogy suitcase solar panels. We are also ignorant about all things electrical. My question is: what do we need to purchase to hook this up to our external Zamp solar port? Specifics and even photos would really help us dummies! Thanks!
  10. Thank you! I'll go with the safer option.😊
  11. The hatch door for the lithium batteries has two circular vent holes. I've seen folks cover the interior of the door with Reflectix. Is there any problem covering up those vent holes in cold weather?
