Moderators mountainborn Posted July 26, 2009 Moderators Posted July 26, 2009 Just putting a tarp over the table when you finish a meal isn't much of a bear deterent, as these campers will soon findout. Their neighbors shot this video as the damage was occouring: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zBPZvw7ks5Q Note how easily the bear just kindof casually clears off the whole top of a 54 quart marine ice chest, even though it is held on with two hinges and two latches. Moderators mountainborn Posted July 26, 2009 Author Moderators Posted July 26, 2009 There are bear warning signs posted everywhere around the campground. When they arrived, I stopped by to welcome them and bring them up to date on bear incidents and warn them about putting their food up. The bear talk lasts about ten minutes. Later, they said, " you told us this could happen". After the bear left, I shot this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TzBojrZzkzc I would rather wake up in the middle of nowhere than in any city on earth 08' Oliver Legacy Elite HULL NUMBER 0003(sold)
