  1. We drilled. I know, I know! But it wasn't that bad really and the bracket is curved and fits perfectly! It was only ten bucks at Lowe's and it looks like it was made for the trailer. Highly recommended.
  2. bugeyedriver, That is I believe in Idaho. It was the picture that was on the trailer when we bought it and I can't recall exactly where Jim said it was taken although I asked and was told a few times We are taking sunset pictures each evening though, searching for that perfect one to put on our trailer. We may end up with a daytime picture of the lake instead but we aren't sure.
  3. We have posted just a few pictures from our camping trip and a couple of others. We hope to add lots of trip pictures here. http://oliver.hewus.com/index.cgi
  4. Congratulations! We agree that our Oliver is better than expected! Many happy travels to you
  5. Sherry, Our property is in the middle of nowhere and has a dirt road to it but the land itself is (was) untouched so when our group arrived my husband and the other guys scoped things out and then grabbed some shovels and saws. They trimmed some pine tree branches, moved assorted boulders, bushes, cactus and drove the Jeep back and forth along the area we wanted to use as a driveway. It's probably 100ft from the road to the area where we camped. Silly me didn't get any pictures but we are going back up in two weeks and I will take some to post here.
  6. We started with a 5x8 sheet of the stuff and just cut large squares of it for the smaller seating area and long rectangles for the larger seating area. They don't fit under the cushions exactly but they are large enough to hold the cushions in place.
  7. bugeyedriver, That wasn't us you saw as we are a bit further west in Arizona. We took our trailer to Hackberry off old route 66. It's fairly close to home but now that we have a portable home we hope to go and see a lot more of our country.
  8. Well we are back from our first camping trip in our Oliver which is also the first trailer we have ever owned. My husband said it towed like a dream behind the Jeep. We got it in some pretty tight spaces after making a "driveway" onto our property and setting up took just a few minutes. We had some technical difficulties but all in all it was a good trip.
  9. We ended up purchasing some of the rubber stuff for rugs and it worked amazingly well. I highly recommend it as a quick and easy fix. It might even keep those cushions on your seats mountainborn
  10. Thank you! We really do love it a lot. We are taking it to our property tomorrow and staying overnight. Everyone is so excited to go camping in one of the coolest trailers ever
  11. I had considered velcro but then I wouldn't be able to flip over the cushions if one side gets worn or stained. I was thinking perhaps i could place under the cushion a rubber bath mat or maybe the rubber mesh stuff they sell to keep a carpet from creeping as it is walked on but I wasn't sure about any of those. I don't mind them falling on the floor as we drive but they slip off when we are actually sitting on them.
  12. We also have Dish Network but live quite a distance from the factory. I called King-dome and they informed me that they will send a loaner keypad and manual directly to you. They do require a security deposit of course and you would have to pay for shipping but this seemed like a convenient alternative for some people. We were lucky to be able to borrow a keypad locally and reprogram ours and it was a snap.
  13. Hi everyone. This is the first trailer we have ever owned so a ton of things are totally new to us. What do you experienced RVrs do about keeping the seat cushions on the benches? They seem to want to slide out from under us while we are sitting on them. I am sure there is a simple answer but I can't figure it out
  14. Hey thanks for the welcome! We have our Oliver trailer and I must say I absolutely love it. We were definitely not in the market for a trailer and just happened upon the Oliver as I was walking in town. I thought they looked interesting so I stopped to take a look and I was just blown away. The outside is so deceiving. I swear the Oliver was made just for me. It is exactly what I would have wished for in a travel trailer and then some. Jim and his wife were extremely nice and have gone out of their way to make sure we are more than pleased with our Oliver (we are!). Our first trip will be this weekend and we have been busy stocking it up. I actually slept in it last night because I couldn't wait any longer to try it. It's wonderful!
