Galileo Posted February 28 Posted February 28 A comment by KatanaPilot mentioning his profile picture made me away of that feature that I had not previously noticed. I thought “cool! I can add a profile picture.” I did. Unfortunately, because of the member name and other stuff the system places over the top of the photo, you can’t see what’s in the center of the photo - like where most photographers put the subject of the photo. I tried clicking various things to see if the system would let you uncover the photo or have it pop up in a separate frame, but so luck. I guess I can go in and resize and crop the picture to move the subject off to the side. That would make MY profile picture more effective, but I wanna be able to see the planes on KatanaPilot’s profile picture! (I like planes.) (Hopefully the examples below illustrate my point.) 2022 Oliver Legacy Elite II Hull #1029 King Bed Floorplan electronics package Truma Aqua-Go LOUD Dometic Penguin A/C LevelMate Pro+ TV - 2025 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali, 3.0l Duramax Diesel, Crew Cab 4WD RealTruck hard tonneau cover Rove R2-4K DashCams Canada: New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island
Moderators topgun2 Posted February 28 Moderators Posted February 28 I don't think that I'm absolutely sure of exactly what you are trying to do. However, if you are talking about the photo that is at the top of the page where your profile can be seen and/or changed (by you); you can easily "reposition" this photo (vertically only) by clicking on "cover photo" (located at the top right of the page). Then click on "reposition photo". This allows you to move the photo up and down until you get it positioned exactly where you want it. On the other hand - if you are trying to replace the "G" that shows along with your posts on the Forum then; Go to you profile page (simply click on the offending "G") and then click on that little blue "mountain picture" located at the bottom left of the "G" at the top of your profile page. Another menu page will pop up where you can upload a picture of your choice that will not have that blue "G" in it. Hope this helps! Bill That sounds like it would help somewhat, but see how both my and KatanaPilot’s name is plastered across the center of the profile picture? That’s what I’d like to remove or reposition to be able to see the picture. Otherwise, a landscape or skyline picture would be the only kind of picture suitable for that use. 2022 Oliver Legacy Elite II Hull #1029 King Bed Floorplan electronics package Truma Aqua-Go LOUD Dometic Penguin A/C LevelMate Pro+ TV - 2025 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali, 3.0l Duramax Diesel, Crew Cab 4WD RealTruck hard tonneau cover Rove R2-4K DashCams Canada: New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island
Moderators topgun2 Posted February 28 Moderators Posted February 28 OK - I'm guessing that you are using a cell phone and that is what you did the screen shot that I see above. I did move your profile picture slightly higher for you but if you don't like it there you can simply move it back or let me know and I'll move it for you. Given the height difference between the two of you I do not see a way to get both of your faces in that picture without cropping the picture and moving your faces to the right. Assuming that I'm correct about the cell phone usage - please let me know - I'll have to investigate what can be done (if anything) to get more of your picture visible. Bill Thanks Bill, I’ll probably edit a picture - maybe splice two together - to make up a profile pic that puts the items I want to accentuate on either side of the stuff that covers up the middle of it. 2022 Oliver Legacy Elite II Hull #1029 King Bed Floorplan electronics package Truma Aqua-Go LOUD Dometic Penguin A/C LevelMate Pro+ TV - 2025 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali, 3.0l Duramax Diesel, Crew Cab 4WD RealTruck hard tonneau cover Rove R2-4K DashCams Canada: New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island
Galileo Posted February 28 Author Posted February 28 I think I found an answer: select a picture that works in this application.
