Moderators mountainborn Posted March 19, 2008 Moderators Share Posted March 19, 2008 Traveling along behind the snow storm during our way back from Arizona, mileage was low because of head winds, but traveling wasn't half bad, at all: I would rather wake up in the middle of nowhere than in any city on earth 08' Oliver Legacy Elite HULL NUMBER 0003(sold)
rvngal
YUCK...I'm so glad I don't have to drive in that anymore. Originally from northern Ohio, but now living in sunny Arizona. BTW...what did you think of Arizona???
Moderators mountainborn Posted March 19, 2008 Author Moderators Share Posted March 19, 2008 It was great to visit some of the old places from my childhood. I found that while on my way out there I could only think of the names of a few of the different types of cacti. But after getting out there where I was actually looking at them I could remember most of their names. The Snow storm met us at the Mogollon Rim area, so we chickened out and turned South towards Globe, on AZ 77, to get out of it. Later, on the way back to Arkansas, we caught up with the second wave of the snow storm and stayed behind it all of the way home. It must have been the same snow that the Hackberry campers were in. rvngal
Yes...I am hoping that it was our last blast of winter so our beautiful campgrounds up on the rim will dry out and be open by the end of April. It's been a crazy winter for sure, but AZ really did need it.
