  1. Loveland/Fort Collins Colorado We have twice used Nathan RV Service and Repair. He moved from Fort Collins to Weldona. Oliver recommended him. He has twice done maintainence on our Oliver. The first time he replaced the flooring. This time he replace the Automatic Transfer Switch which had failed. He is thorough and price was quite reasonable. He took plenty of time when we picked it up to answer our questions. He loves working on Olivers.. he said they make the best campers! Hope this helps someone. Linda OEII #111
  2. Thanks, we must have a clog. We are taking it in for maintenance tomorrow and will add that to the list. We drained grey and black before we took showers. I was not clear about dog. I don’t wash my dogs in there. What has gone down is just the normal shedding they do that floats in the air along with dirt tracked in despite a rug. We will be more careful if this going forward ! We are at Fort Robinson,NE. It is a very nice campground. Good spacing between sites. We have a view of prairie, buttes and wildflowers( some bugs and bees getting in with door opening).
  3. Hello, We are out again for a longer time. The shower is not draining after showers today. I can’t seem to find a thread on this problem. Seems I read to lower the back of the trailer? We are taking it in for service tomorrow. I wonder if there is a filter that needs checked. We have dogs who do shed a bit and I rinse down the hair instead of sweeping the shower pan 🤔. Thank you, Linda Shields #111 Elite 11 2016
  4. Thank you so much! I will get that printed and put where it’s useful! Linda
  5. Sorry, I thought it was included. We have a 2016 Oliver Elite 2 and our tow vehicle is a Porsche Cayenne 2008. I think I fixed that on my profile. Linda
  6. We are working on sanitizing our water and could use a diagram of boon docking and then how to fill water. No diagrams that I can find of this model. thanks Linda
  7. Thank you. We don't remember a transfer switch. Where would it be located? If we know where it is located we can get it checked. I think we got it as a convenience but don't recall a location or what to do with it. If it is automatic it obviously is not doing its job anymore! Linda
  8. Thanks again for all the help you gave us. We did not go camping! I had a GI bug at the last minute. The weather also took a turn to heavy rain and some snow. We have rescheduled the trip to later in May when we will have better weather (and no one is sick). My husband is going to read through the suggestions about tires but hasn't done that yet. It has Michelins and has been stored out of the sun in a heated space. We did spend 2.5 months in AZ and NM where sun is strong. If he has questions we will get back to you. We went out to start cleaning our camper a few day prior to leaving and found we had no power, despite putting in new batteries last fall. The "RV Doctor" made a house call. Since moving here we have had it plugged into power in our garage via the "front shore power inlet" and have had no trouble till last fall. The RV doctor said this was only to be used if we had a generator (we don't). We find it hard to believe that the batteries could have stayed charged all this time. We have only done a couple short trips in 5 years. We do have solar but it has been in the garage except for the short trips. When we plugged the camper into power via the side "shore power" all seems fine. Also we found the inverter was turned off but the RV doctor didn't think that was part of the problem. He found the LP regulator and tubing needed to be replaced as we had no gas coming into the camper. It was stuck on red even with full tanks. On our last trip we had no gas for the camper though we thought the tanks had plenty of gas. The " RV Doctor" solved some problems but we need clarification on the power inlet. **Is it only for a generator and not an option to plug into as the side inlet? He was not familiar with Olivers but liked it. Linda
  9. Thanks to all of you! We decided that the campground we were headed to would be too cold and snowy for a couple of days of fun. It was at 9000' so we found a place that is about 5500' and will be warmer. It is only 8.5 miles from our house.. hardly a shake down. But if we forgot something (or the weather is icky) we can go home! We are not afraid of cold weather or snow we have almost always used it in winter condition..though sometimes on the way to warmer places. We will probably be replacing the tires if we go on a longer trip. Linda
  10. We have michelin's and will see how they look. The trip is only 80 miles RT though I know we need good tires. I hope they pass inspection. Thanks for your help. We will get started soon to prep for the little trip. Linda
  11. Thank you so much. We will be better prepared with this for the whole trip! This is a great group. Happy to be back here. Linda
  12. Hello, I am not really a newbie but sort of one I guess! We have a 2016 OTT Elite 2 #111. We have had it in our heated garage for the last 2 years due to illness and other life events. We are getting ready to head out for a short trip next week. I would like a list of what we need to check before we head out. It seems overwhelming as we will be relearning (again) how to use "Olivia". I know we need to santize the water system but I haven't been able to find a list about taking it out of storage. So please direct me to one if it exists. Many Thanks, Linda
  13. Thanks for the suggestion. We have kids/ neighbors who could come in an check what happened The real problem was warped wooden floor from pooling water (gone three days). I do intend to empty the ice maker next time I leave for a period of time. Spoiled food is not so much of a concern. More the damage from sitting water. We did once (a long time ago) come back in house before we left and found our basement was ankle deep in water from a rusted out water heater. That would be a bigger mess and is not on my radar so much anymore and probably should be.
  14. We are getting ready to take our Oliver ("Olivia" #111 and tow "Ruby") on the road again. Last week while gone on a short trip our household freezer stopped working and we came home to water on the floor and food thawing. I am trying to find a themometer I can monitor with my phone while we are gone again. Does anyone have a suggestion for a system that is not very expensive and can be read through an iphone app? Thanks Linda
  15. Thanks for the suggestions. I talked to our mailman and we are going with his suggestion. A neighbor ( actually hiring a teenager next door with supervison from her mom) to pick up the mail. Periodically she will forward the first class to us wherever we happen to be. I got several prepaid priority mailers. I got the legal size as it is the same price as letter size. It just has to be taken to the grocery store post office near our house. The mailers can't go in a box. Linda
  16. Hello, We are going to be traveling for about 2 1/2 months this winter. I would like suggestions for getting your mail delivered or handled while being gone. We will be staying about 2 weeks in each spot if that helps give any guidance. Mostly we will be staying in state parks. Thanks Linda Shields #111
