  1. Herm: In answer to your question; I just never got it to work correctly. It was the same antenna as yours. It could have been operator error but a few times I could get one station but never get it to work as I had expected. I decided that T.V. was not important on our outings. I like the new sleek look I now have.
  2. We just returned from a 3300 mile round trip from Arizona to Hohenwald to have some modifications made to the trailer. We downsized the air conditioning unit to enable us to us a 2000 watt generator, added a generator basket and had the external t.v. antenna removed and the holes glassed over. When we arrived there was some confusion because of a mix up in dates. Robert came to the rescue and said everything would be taken care of. We went off to Nashville to spend tourist dollars. Later that week we returned to a finished trailer. Not only had they done the asked for changes but had went through the trailer and did several upgrades and a full safety inspection. This type of dedication to their customers and product is why we felt justified in making the trip to the factory. We also toured the factory and are happy that they have found a way to keep these dedicated employees working while waiting for the economy to pick up. A big thanks to Robert and all the others who worked on our trailer. Jerry and Shirley P.S. They even washed the trailer before they would let us hook up. Brings back memories of when service stations would wash the windshield and check the water and oil.
  3. I have a Cal-Mark cover for my Oliver. I think it does a good job of protecting the trailer. I am an unfortunate soul who has to store the trailer in a RV lot in Sun City Arizona. Protection from sun and dust is primary. The cover does a great job. Last August we drove from Washington State to Arizona via the Cal-Mark factory in California. We parked the trailer at the factory and in about 4 hours they made a custom fitted cover for the Oliver. We had contacted them prior to our arrival to make arrangements for them to measure the Oliver but when we arrived they said if we waited around for a few hours we could take the finished product with us. They are not inexpensive but I feel it was money well spent.
  4. I own a 2006 Odyssey Touring. It came with what Honda called a towing package, but not a hitch. I had the hitch installed by a Honda Dealer. They would not install the brake controller. I had an outside company make that install. Additionally I had that same company install overload air bags to stiffen the rear suspension. I left Arizona for Tenn. to pick up my trailer. It was obvious when the trailer was hooked up that my tow vehicle would be marginal at best. It towed great back to Arizona, but gas mileage averaged 13mpg; disappointing. I then towed to Washington State, with the highest pass being about 4300 ft. The trailer and vehicle probably were overloaded with stuff (we take fruit from our trees up to family and friends) and there were times when I had to go from overdrive to drive 3 on hills, also times when stopped on hills at stoplights in cities that I had to drop into 1 to get going. For my own peace of mind I traded in one of my other vehicles and bought a Chev Tahoe to use as my tow vehicle. I had my trailer weighed with full water and propane tanks and food, clothes and stuff for camping. The weights are as follows: Axel 3560 Hitch weight 340 and a total weight of 3900 lbs. I still use the Honda occasionally to tow when in the relatively flat southwest; but mostly I use the Tahoe. Even though I traded tow vehicles I am happy that I bought the Oliver; for me it was a better fit than other fiberglass trailers I looked at. I hope this information helps.
