  1. Eat Well Sushi and Grill in Memphis, TN had a great Sushi buffet, we ate there both going and coming home. Then in Franklin, TN there was Yats, a Cajon Creole restraunt that expanded from Louisiana that was to die for ???? We stayed at the Comodore and the staff was excellent. It’s an old historic hotel where you walk upstairs to your room. It’s about 30 easy minutes away and it makes for an easy relaxed morning drive. You park right in front of the hotel and it’s totally quiet and safe ????

Yats sounds fantastic!  Thanks for the tips!

  2.

Nashville has some very cool places to visit, including a nice zoo, but it isn’t at all on the way to Hohenwald from Oklahoma… be aware that traffic is fast and vicious, especially if you are towing.

nashville would just be for going out. We haven’t been there in a while so thought it’d be nice to browse before pick up.

Will definitely put the other places you mentioned on the list of places to see! Thanks!  -Angela

  3. You don’t say where you are coming from! If from the west, avoid Jackson TN like the plague, although it has tons of hotels since it straddles I40, the area is a cesspool… to put it mildly. Savannah TN is very nice, is on the Tennessee River, has lots of parks and lodging, and is an hour from Hohenwald by very twisty backroads. I can’t comment on a dog friendly motel since we left ours at home. If from the east, Columbia would be a good choice. John Davies Spokane WA

John, we are coming down I40 from Oklahoma. I think we may go through Nashville and stay in the outskirts.  Thanks!  -Angela

  4. We stayed at the Commodore Hotel in nearby Linden. (We were coming from the west–Arizona.) They welcomed us with our large Pyrenees-mix, Hank. The historic hotel was interesting but not cheap. Address: 114 East Main Street, 120 East Main Street, Linden, TN 37096 Phone: (931) 589-3224

Neat looking place! Thank you for the info. Beautiful friend you’ve got there! -Angela

  5. Hello Angela! There is a Thousand Trails campground called Natchez Trace Wilderness Preserve about 13 miles from the Oliver Travel Trailer Sales office. They have rental cabins and are pet friendly. The cost for a standard cabin is $68.00/night. here is a link to there website, where you will find directions, pricing and more. I hope this helps. https://www.thousandtrails.com/tennessee/natchez-trace-rv-campground/rentals – Phil

    Thanks Phil!

The Sprinter platform has between a 5,000 to 7,500 towing capacity depending on configuration. The Sprinter and Oliver drover very well together. I was very happy with performance and road manners.

Good to know. Enjoy it! We pick up ours in just a little over a week and cannot wait! -Angela

  7. One note on boarding the dogs at the vet just down the road… they do require they have their shots ahead of time (including Kennel Cough). You can see their contact info here: http://greenviewvet.com/locations/main-location/ You can see their requirements here: http://greenviewvet.com/boarding-service I believe they require proof of shots. Most of the time you can call your vet and they will send that info to Greenview as needed. If you are planning on boarding a pet, please call Greenview in advance.

Thanks, Matt!  The links are helpful. All I had was the phone number.

After talking with Anita this afternoon I called and got a reservation. When I spoke with Kristi at Greenview she asked that we bring a copy of the shot records and we were good to go!

If anyone else is going to need this amazing service in the next couple of weeks, You should prob go ahead and call. Anita mentioned that there is an OctoberFest celebration coming up and it can fill up.

So excited!  T minus 11 days!

  8. Free2Roam, Yes, you may bring your dogs for pick up! However, we do have a policy that states they may not be in the sales office or inside the plant. We have a veterinarian less than a mile down the road that will board them for the day with no charge to you. Just as we are excited to meet you, we are equally excited to meet your fur babies. So, please bring them along. – Phil

Thanks, Phillip! We will get in contact with Anita or one of the other girls prior to coming out to get the info for the vet. This is a fantastic service!

  9. Sorry for the above errant post. It's Monday!

Getting ours in 2 weeks so haven't experienced this but noticed on the home page that the new specs for the 2018s are posted and they list that a new standard feature is a "water accumulator bladder tank to help add constant water pressure at faucets".  Wonder if it can be added after the fact and if it would help your situation?

  10. Riffles stayed with us throughout the day, it wasn’t an issue and they made sure that he felt at home also. It was a full day either way and as long as your dog is trained to stay with you on or off leash, all is good ????

That's good to know.  She is good on a leash.

  11. We had ours in the truck. We parked out back, and went out of every once and a while to check, water, and walk. He stayed in motel rooms with us on the way down.

What time of year did you pick up? Thinking about the heat this time of year

  12. Congratulations! I know how you feel. Our Ollie was ready before we could make the trip (Liz had to finish out the school year teaching), and it was hard to know it was sitting there waiting for us. The wait, however, was worth it. Even though Ollie is just outside our front door, I often just have to go out there, open it up, and visit (using the excuse to check on things). It is a bit embarrassing being in love with an inanimate object. Itching for our next trip, to California this time.

    ???????????? That is so me!!

  13. Great news. Glad they are communicating. Where are you going for your first trip? We are in ours now enjoying some late season camping/fishing/visiting in Medway, Maine. Enjoy, and have fun with it…

Sounds wonderful!  Not sure yet.  Still trying to figure out if I am going to be able to get off work to go with Kyle to pick it up or if he's going to have to go by himself.  We could wait to go together Oct 30, but the thought of it sitting there for 4 additional weeks I think would make me crazy! :)

  14. Got a call from Anita today.  Turns out production is running ahead of schedule.  We were scheduled to pick up our trailer Oct 30, but now can pick it up as early as Oct 2!!!!!!  Needless to say, I didn't get much work done today as I am so giddy.  The challenge is going to be schedule rearranging to try to get  there.  She said of course they will hold it for us if we can't get there before the 30th, but how can I sleep soundly knowing it's just sitting there waiting.  I am on cloud 9 today!  - Angela

  15. We had an idea of making the building process more informative for those waiting on their Ollie. I don’t have an estimated time frame right now. We’ll keep you updated!

this would be such a good thing. The anticipation is just so great and being that we weren't able to get there for a tour before we purchased, seeing the progress in our individual trailer would be calming.
