  1. The angle that the “pin” in your photo is cocked at the angle that the camper was at in relationship to you TV when you unhooked it....

you can either back up to the trailer so the front of the Camper is “square” in relationship to that pin, or remove the pin, insert something ( I think the handle that can be used to lower the jacks if the fuse blows can work) in that hole and spin it til it’s back parallel with your tailgate... then back into hitch up as straight as possible.

  2. Kind of a long shot here... but could it be related to the wind sensor? The wind sensor does have the capability to prevent the awning from opening for a short time after it has caused it to close.. perhaps the batteries need replacing? Or it needs to be replaced? Of course you need to get the awning open in order to fiddle with it....

  3. Now John, perhaps you’re jumping the gun just a little bit.. clearly it’s a work in progress, I mean, what do you suppose that appendage nailed to the exterior curb side will be for? And as for it feeling just a little light in the steering? Easy fix! Just add another heavy steel veranda to the front bumper! Which will lead to the obvious next step of a porch that wraps around the whole rig, which of course will contribute to the tires sinking into the mud and out of sight... resulting in it being listed as a weekly rental..an artist retreat during the summer, deer hunting camp come November...

at least that’s what would happen here in Maine..

  4.  Congrats! We had a Casita (17’) before picking up our E2 last fall... We loved that old camper but are so happy to have switched to Oliver.. the extra roominess makes a big difference for sure..

That's not the reason they are not publishing wiring diagrams. It's mainly that they are in a relatively constant state of flux. They change, quite often. One printed and included in the delivery information kit may well be out of date by the time you get it.  A current one is available for the asking. As far as photos taken within the factory, I don't think there's any problems. I've taken literally thousands over the past 14 years.

A current copy of the electrical diagrams is not available for the asking.. at least not for me.. I’ve asked several times.. The answer has always been the same..... No....

  6. While we weren’t near Naples, while in Fl we stored our E2 at an IStorage place.. we checked out the place and felt the security was good, so we went with it. We swung by every now and checked in..we were happy with how things went.

We will be rolling back home to Maine tomorrow having been out and about since November.. Great experiences with HH, everything from Dairy Farms to Diner parking lots. There are places out there with power and water, usually for a fee.. Don’t forget to keep your eyes peeled for town, city, or county parks offering overnight camping...We had good experiences with them as well..

sounds like a really great trip! Have a blast!

Dust? Yes its every where not just in the Ollie in your house your car and on you. Clean the best you can. Guess what, it will be back tomorrow. One of those unfortunate things in life that your never get away from. Unless your bubble boy. 😉

Sure is, I’m a dusty guy.. And I’ve enjoyed cleaning the Mangrove dust from Florida, the red dust from New Mexico, and what seems like about a half pound of the state of Arizona from the inside of our Ollie. It means I’m on the move, and happy for it.
I just think, and it is after all only my opinion, that Oliver could deliver trailers without quite as much fiberglass dust....

Lots and Lots and Lots of fiberglass dust  . . . .  it will be a big project to get it cleaned up.   We would have been happy to pay to receive a clean trailer.

Yup... me too.. crazy amount of dust down below... no need of it. If I’d taken the trailer home after picking it up I’d have been able to do a real clean up... blast out with compressed air, fans, vac.. whatever it would take.. but we will have been on the road almost 5 months before that happens. What I wonder about is impact on the inverter and or furnace that are likely sucking the stuff into themselves

Check the O-ring seal on the clear plastic cup of the filter just before the pump inlet.  If the O-ring is missing, or out of place or twisted, the pump will suck in air and run for a while after turning the faucet off.  We had the same symptoms.  The O-ring wasn’t properly seated in the groove, allowing air into the pump.  And the water line between the fresh tank and the filter can also become clogged with plastic bits & shavings.

Thanks FrankC . I hauled out that section of water line and blew it out as you suggested. No big plastic chunks, so it seemed ok. In the end I ended up bleaching then flushing water through the system a bunch of times, cleaning the filter repeatably. Water pressure to both sinks has improved both from city water as well as the tank.. but the toilet was still just a trickle. It turns out there is a screen in the intake valve, and I dug a lot of stuff out of it with a screw driver ( gently) .. i don’t know what the material was, sort of a grayish paste.. wet fiberglass dust? Whatever it was, getting it out of there did the trick..

You can try a vinegar flush, to dissolve any deposits; use the winterization port to suck in a weak vinegar mix (1 gal per 5 gal water) through the plumbing and also into the (regular) water heater. Let it sit for a day, drain and flush well. Be aware that the vinegar water going onto concrete will etch it slightly (leave a very clean area). It won’t hurt, but if you don’t want to look at it for a year or two, do this where it won’t matter, or where it will hurt your lawn.

Hey there John, the vinegar purge worked out great, thanks! When hooked to city water ive now got good pressure in all areas. From the tank ...not so much... pump runs for a loooong time after the faucet is turned off. I’ve cleaned filter several times. Because we are on the road I hadn’t filled the tank, only had 35-50 % filled. I think I’ll fill it next stop, maybe the pump is sucking  air out of the tank that I need to displace in order to get things back on an even keel..

thanks again for the vinegar idea!

  11. So I’ve got good water pressure at the galley sink.. with both city water and using the pump and tank.. I’ve got really low water pressure at the bathroom sink, and even lower water pressure ( looks like anyway) at the toilet.. Again, this is the case trying both city and house water supplies.
We’ve had the camper in storage for a month, prior to that everything worked fine everyday for a couple months.. nothing has frozen.. there doesn’t seem ( no sputtering ) to be air in the lines.... I’ve cleaned the plastic bits out of the screen..

    any thoughts?
    thanks!
