Copycat Carlton

After trying to get our Norcold 3 way refrigerator repaired and having Oliver service center look at it twice. The service center quoted us a price of $4800.00 to replace the Norcold with a Dometic 12 volt compressor unit. I decided to try to repair it myself. The power board is easy to change it is the one accessible from the out side lower panel. That didn’t fix it. So I changed the optical display board next part number 628663. This board is located behind the front panel of the refrigerator. This board didn’t fix it either. Next I replaced the front button control panel part number 630619. The fridge is working properly now. I purchased these items on eBay. The removal of the front panel was the most difficult of this process. Message me if you would like an explanation of how to remove the front panel.

They did not tell me the model number just that it was a Dometic brand 12 volt compressor unit that is currently being installed in the 2025 models. I think he said that Oliver had changed to the Dometic because of a large jump in the price of the previous brand that they had been installing in the 2025 models. I think he said that they had installed the Dometic in about 5 or 6 2025 models. I have been looking at the Isotherm 130. It is made in a stainless and a black door version.

It will not work in any mode. I have changed the main board and the optical control board. I have found it difficult to find much information on this particular model.

My 2019 Elite ll hull # 552 Norcold refrigerator has stopped working. We were on a 5 night boondocking trip.During the fourth day I noticed the refrigerator was lighting then going off then relighting sometimes. This became more frequent to the point that it would light and then immediately go out. I checked my propane and it was ok I checked my 12 volts and it was 12.7volts. We finally turned the fridge off and used an ice chest the rest of the trip. When I got home I connected to 120v and the refrigerator will not work on ac power either. It shows a n fault code. I have called Oliver and talked to the service manager but they couldn’t tell me anything. Can anyone help me with this ?

I am sure there are plenty of choices out there since the 16 inch tires are plentiful I am sure the 17’s would be even more so. I probably will just stay with the 16’s and then eventually get a new TV. I really like the new 3.0 Duramax Chevy or GMC trucks. I think they do well towing the Elite II.

I have a 2003 Silverado 2500 Diesel it has LT 265 75 R16. I talked to my tire guy about going up to 17 or 18 inch wheels because I had been hearing about tire choices in 16 inch wheels becoming less available. He said if I were going to change that it would be better to go with 18 inch because there were more available in that size than 17 inch. I am at the point of needing tires now but there are still plenty of 16 inch available so I don’t know if I will change or not.
