  1. Esthetically it looks great; more in tune with Oliver colors. I'll let you know if I hit any bugs or issues. Nice job!
  2. Calling all fulltimers! Just released this week was a press release/article/questionnaire that is seeking your story. The questionnaire will run throughout 2018. The press release is titled, New Article Deepens the Perspective of Fulltime RV Living, and can be read along with the article, The Fulltimer Effect: Strengthening Our Story, on http://www.rvcompass.com I would love to have all fulltimers participate in the questionnaire and if you can help spread the word, especially on social media, I’d be very grateful.
  3. All your planning paid off The VIP early birds for Green Eggs and Ham are now official. As of today, registration is still open, but the rig fee rate has increased to $20 and is only accepted via PayPal (pay as a guest if you don't have an account) on the rally Website sign-up page, http://www.rvcompass.com/GEHrally/signup.html Just like Santa’s busy elves, we’ve got some planning to do now! Have a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year. Green Eggs and Ham is just around the calendar corner and we’re busy at work to make it the best yet.
  4. By The Numbers Wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving! As you’re blissfully surfing the Internet in a food-induced state of lethargy, remember to sign up for Green Eggs and Ham if you haven’t done so already. The rig fee will be increased in just a few weeks, as we make preparations and must lock down head count and budget. REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE prior to the rally if you are on a reserved site. Reserved sites that still have not fully RSVPed yet: 3, 4, 7, 23, 25, 26, 29, 31, 38, 39, 43, 44, 45, 55, 62, 68, 69, 76, 83, 84, 88, 97, 100, 101, 110, 117, 128, 132, 139 Whip out your credit card (OK, don’t whip it out…gently rollover in slow motion to dig out the wallet) and go to http://www.rvcompass.com/GEHrally/signup.html to make your reservations NOW as you sit idle in that overstuffed chair. Otherwise, listen to your stomach grumble by Mid-March. The budget is tight to feed so many turkey mouths. As it stands, there are only 7 remaining sites in Antioch for reservations! Get in while you can at the VIP rate and secure your spot if you don’t have a site yet. Open sites are 78, 89, 116, 121, 122, 129, and 141. If you’re a spontaneous risk-taker who is willing to pay the increased rig fee to join us last minute, there are 19 Walk-In Only sites: 1, 2, 50, 51, 104-109, 113, 114, 133-136, 138, 140, and 142. We will exclusively accept rally sign-up from the above 19 Walk-In Only site numbers at Gunter Hill (cash only, and at the increased rig fee) no later than March 14th, otherwise, REGISTRATION WILL BE CLOSED! Get on it while you can and good luck…gobble, gobble.
  5. Get the Early Bird VIP Status while it lasts! In less than one month’s time, the rally registration fee will rise significantly. Following a few weeks after the registration hike, THE REGISTRATION WILL BE CLOSED. Get in now, or exclude yourself from this magnificent green scene of egg folk. There is a communal gravitation toward this extraordinary event that creates a production of busy hands to make the 8th annual rally happen. Fence sitters will soon fall off in the direction they choose. To-date, the following sites are booked for the rally weekend, but we don’t have your RSVP yet: Catoma Loop: 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 23, 25, 26, 28, 29, 31, 32, 34, 38, 39, 43, 44, 45, 50, 51, 55, 62, 66, 68, 69 Antioch Loop: 76, 83, 84, 88, 94, 95, 97, 100, 101, 104-110, 113, 114, 117, 128, 132-136, 138-140, 142 If you plan on being a part of the rally, please RSVP ASAP! Otherwise, the additional rally fees will be earmarked for admin for future attendee inefficiency costs. As Mayor Shorty specifies the fee hike justification, “Risk Mitigation”. Also to-date, the few following sites in Antioch Loop are still open for the rally dates. Reserve one while it lasts: 78 85, 86, 87 89 116 121 122 129 141 Whether you have no RSVP with your reserved site or you’re just getting in on the last few sites available, become an instant supportive participant at: http://www.rvcompass.com/GEHrally/signup.html
  6. For many years we’ve had an annual Google Map produced for Molded Fiberglass Travel Trailer Rallies. 2018 Rallies are shown at https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/edit?mid=11P_08T4i-xRMwcBJo7V0ZxgJyck&ll=20.98468032985113%2C-119.57887642619619&z=3 Now RV Compass is producing a very similar annual rally map for full-timer gatherings (regardless of RV type). If you know of a 2018 rally/gathering for full-timers, please private message (PM) me. Provide event dates, name of event, location and an online landing page (website, FaceBook link, etc.) I’ll get it on the map. https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/edit?mid=1U5fh7AaIT5qwpK3XJkx7_exmj5dYaiue&ll=40.20608290535938,-106.77981606354979&z=4
  7. Sign Up only gets better! As the rally creeps up on the calendar we’d like to have anyone who hasn’t completed their registration to do so, soon. To give you a heads up, the rig fee will increase in the near future, so get the Early Bird VIP rates while they last. We just made sign-up even easier by integrating PayPal into the form. To complete your registration, please fill out the form at the bottom of the page: http://www.rvcompass.com/GEHrally/signup.html If you haven’t made Gunter Hill reservations yet and would like to join us for another fun year, there are approximately 20 sites still available. Get in while you can! Have the ability to be notified as soon as new rallies are scheduled through RV Compass! Sign up for future rally notifications
  8. RV Compass launched the redesign of its website, www.rvcompass.com, to provide RV owners and partner organizations with a new page that offers visitors the ability to be notified as soon as new rallies are scheduled. Read the release and sign up for future rally notifications!
  9. This rally is happening now at Davie Crockett Birthplace State Part in TN. It's coinciding with a tractor show. We're surrounded by classic tractors, including the rare Oliver! I couldn't resist posting this of Outlaw and the Olivers.
  10. Shout Out to Attendees Thanks to everyone who attended the rally. Y’all made it an awesome event! There will be no 2018 Eggshells in The Outer Banks, as I have other projects to currently pursue. If there comes a future year to reintroduce it, I will. In the meantime, the rally website will stay in place for independent travelers to use as a planning resource. http://www.rvcompass.com/OBXrally/ Updated rally pictures and information will be put on the Website by November 2017. Participants—thank you for making an unforgettable rally experience!
  11. Sometimes it takes an “I’m confused” email by a rally attendee to make me realize I might need to explain a bit better on how things are structured. Tonight I got that email questioning if this is a teardrop rally instead of a Casita rally. Let me share what I shared with him: Eggshells in The Outer Banks was a rally started two years ago as molded fiberglass travel trailer rally. All brands welcome. (I own a Scamp). This year I approached all the molded fiberglass manufacturers for sponsorship in lieu of a rig fee, and Liberty Outdoors (the new owners of ParkLiner) wanted to be the exclusive sponsor. Along with them comes their entire brand line, in addition to the 2nd generation ParkLiner. The teardrop/Little Guy owners also wanted to bring their 5th annual Tearstock rally to us this year, because their usual campground in Ohio is under renovations for 2017. Seeing how this would be a "more the merrier" opportunity with Liberty Outdoors providing additional benefits for us, I agreed to have them join us for one big grand rally. Although it may sound like they dominate the weekend, real bookings reflect about a 50% mix, with maybe a few more eggs represented. The site bookings are around 130, so that's at least 65-70 eggs (with only a few Oliver owners; more the merrier!). The thing I dig the most about the teardrop clan, is they know how to do an outdoor party! If we're sharing rally camp with anyone, these are the folks to do it with. We’re looking forward to see you next week and get ready for an extraordinary time in OBX. With the combined effort of Liberty Outdoors sponsorship and donations, there is NO RIG FEE. Just FREE catered meals, FREE live entertainment, FREE swag, etc. I need a trailer behind my trailer to bring you all the goodies we have! If you haven’t booked yet, this is your last weekend to do so before the rally: http://www.rvcompass.com/OBXrally/reserve.html
  12. Rally dates are approaching fast! Do you plan to join us but haven’t RSVPed yet? Sign up now for all the attendee benefits. http://www.rvcompass.com/OBXrally/reserve.html The online form will remain only through this weekend until Oct 2nd. After that date, walk-in registration must be completed and there are no guarantees to available benefits. Weekend events include catered food, live music, beach gatherings, door prizes, trailer awards, interactive treasure maps and a showcase of Liberty Outdoors brand trailers. Janine Pettit of Girl Camper will give a keynote presentation on National Park Camping with a Little Guy Max trailer.
  13. Pre-rally Notes Yesterday attendees were sent the last scheduled email before the rally. If you did not receive an email from Jeannine, please email her through the rally Website and let her know. There were no attachments this time. New registrations after Sept. 2nd are being sent the Schedule of events and information in weekly batches, as it takes extra time to process, so please allow up to a week before receiving information if you’re coming on board this month. One updated item to note: Buoy Bags are now all claimed through generous donators. Thank you. We’ve started a waitlist in the event a few bags become available. There are rally stickers for sale during the event, and the Tear Drop Shop will also have rally merchandise for sale in their tent. LAST CALL for the following people who will not get rally discount rates and benefits if not RSVPed with Tearstock or Eggshells by Friday, Sept. 22nd: J. Rogers, site 287 F. Bundy, site 296 M. Jones site 310
  14. It’s happening! We have many rally sign ups coming in. If you haven’t RSVPed and paid a rig fee yet, please realize that several folks are currently at work on the rally and we need your full registration sooner than later. Budgets for things like your social morning coffee, gumbo feast, chili feast, firewood, welcome bags, etc. are being planned in 2017. The longer you wait to fully register, the less we can plan to accommodate you in the rally. That’s how event planning rolls, folks. An earlier notice contributes to more participating fun. Please follow the three simple steps to make this grand event happen. For the many of those of you that have already completed the registration process, THANK YOU! If you need assistance in completing registration, please contact Jeannine through email, found at: http://www.rvcompass.com/GEHrally/contact.html
