I'm going through the motions of considering a Legacy Elite II.

I am currently camping in an Airtream 16 Sport. I tow it with a Nissan Frontier 2010, V6 Automatic. It does fine with that trailer.

 

But, as I look at specs, I suspect that I am under rated for the bigger Oliver. My Nissans curb weigh is 4480 lb., GVWR is 5815lb, max tongue weight is 610 lb.

 

I would appreciate any observations - am I in the ballpark, lost, or need a new truck?

I currently own an Airstream, and I can attest to the quality issues. I am not only looking for a larger trailer, but a better build quality. For all of its history and bluster, Airstream cuts some corners that have left me shaking my head; "REALLY??"

Thanks for the input. I'm splitting my time between Southern Arizona and Northern Utah. I will hope to catch someone's trailer this summer. Tennessee is a long way from home!

I have just joined the forum here; don't own an Oliver. I'm just looking.

Currently I am an owner of a 2010 Airstream Sport (AKA: Bambi), and contemplating larger options.

I've read the online literature, watched an awesome 1hr+ video walk through on YouTube - what else should I do?
