  1. Ah, never mind. See some on Amazon now. Can't delete post. :-( But if anyone feels very strongly about a specific one - I would still love your input!!
  2. Saw a picture the other day here of a Clam pop up and it was discussed how much it was liked. It had screened walls that you could zip on solid wall to block wind etc. . Don't see anything like that when I go to Clam web site. Maybe they were using "Clam" like people use the word "Kleenex". ? Can't for the life of me find the post here that had that photo and discussion. So, any opinions on what would be a sturdy, lightweight, easy to erect pop up for extra outdoor room? I will be traveling with 2 big very active dogs and will need the option of some extra space or may seriously go crazy. I had a pop up years ago for dog trial events and it was ridiculously heavy and difficult to set up ...... it seems things have come a long way since then. Thank goodness. Thanks for any ideas,
  3. I got it at a brick and mortar store I went to inquiring about making a custom mattress for the trailer. She showed me the option of latex topper and I jumped all over it without even being able to lie on it at the store.....(personal feelings for avoiding off gassing materials around me as much as possible). So my receipt says - Malouf, Isolus 2" Latex Topper King. When I pulled it out of the box I was convinced it would be terrible - it seemed so soft and squishy. But I tossed it on - lied down on it - and fell in love. :-)
  4. I ended up with a king size latex topper. Love it! I was suspicious because the memory foam toppers are just way too soft for me (at least the Costco one was). Turns out the latex topper is really great. Very comfortable - feels just like I'm on a "real" mattress.... And it's easy to flip aside to get to access compartments..... - And I don't have to find somewhere to store all the cushions (which I would have had to toss if I'd gone with a custom mattress, because I don't HAVE any storage!) Expensive but worth it. Carole
  5. Good info. Thank you hellsbay. Good reasons to go pvc....and ugh,the dreaded cross threads.
  6. Hellsbay, What are the consequences? Do the metals fuse together? Corrode? Carole
  7. Solution awesomeness!!! Ryan is an expert with this product and is a pro at remotely helping with very detailed step by step instructions. So anyone looking for help along these lines...... First try disconnecting and reconnecting the phone cord in the IPN Pro Remote. If this does not solve the problem....... Then - go to you 2512 Blue Sky control under your seat storage. Remove front panel. Disconnect and reconnect the Positive Battery Output Wire (Red wire and one closest to empty screw). *This was my magic point.* Solar panel charge lights came back on and number indicators available on IPN Pro Remote. Hope this helps someone in the future. Thanks for everybodys' input!!! Happy girl, Carole
  8. It's on my to do list for today. :-) I'll let y'all know if I learn anything interesting/helpful for this problem. Carole
  9. Thanks Russ, I'll do some studying and see if I can figure things out. My Blue Sky doesn't show me any of those numbers, that's my problem. It will only show the Volt Amp# @ -0.8. It used to show me all those numbers - then I let my batteries go dead and those mysterious numbers have not returned. Some folks here thought the numbers might return after panels being in the sun for a few days.
  10. Hi Ollie helpers :-) I have my Ollie at home now so can play around with it. I've left it unplugged for the last few days....some sun some rain. There still are no numbers on the Blue Sky IPN- PRo Remote. Well there is one still - the Bolt Amp = -0.7/8 See Level II Tank Monitor shows. Batt at 12.7. No electric has been used besides the usual ghost draws. So I was hoping after time in the sun that The Blue Sky IPN remote would start to show me some numbers. No such luck. Any suggestions how to get it kick started again? I'm assuming (hopefully not mistakenly) that the solar is working but that the monitor just doesn't want to speak to me. Maybe I should get in there and run some electrics to to pull Batt level down and see if it recharges? Solar niave, Carole
  11. Thank you George and Rob. Your thoughtful input is greatly appreciated. I'm very happy to know that I don't have a problem with my Blue Sky - just a matter of my mismanagement. :-) I had actually considered and looked at all those lights indicating parasitic draws on my battery when I first parked into my storage unit. My unit unfortunately had problems at my plug in. I did all kinds of backbends trying to get them to fix it - and even after they fixed it the box would trip randomly (wasn't me didn't have anything extra turned on in the trailer). Somewhere along the way I forgot about the draws - unplugged the trailer and walked away for awhile. My frustrations blinded me. :-/ George, I will seek out and digest the info you have on Blue Sky trouble shooting on the form this weekend. So great for you to share all that. I look forward to understanding my Blue Sky. :-) Carole
  12. ScubaRx, Wow thank you so much for the explanation. Dead battery information - good stuff. The older I get the less I know. Lol! It sounds like I may have lucked out. When I get the trailer here in my drive I will be able to tinker around with it more. I may take up your offer to fix the wiring issue then. I have the Trojan AGM batteries. I will be taking better care of them from now on! Thank you !! Carole
  13. Hi George! Thank you. I hope there's nothing wrong with it. ...that's why I drove all the way out to TN to pick it up......to avoid that kind of thing. They forgot to install things and other things were installed wrong. It's been a bit frustrating and is the reason why my trailer has been in storage. I got so disgusted with the problems that I couldn't get resolved.... that I just had to put it away. But - I'll hope getting it into sun fixes it. :-/ Thank you for the info on how to contact the Blue Sky rep. I sure hope I don't have to drive back to TN to get it fixed -- well I could always have them fix my Anderson Hitch too while I'm there! :-O Hopefully, Carole
  14. I'll be pulling Ollie out to live in the sun for awhile next week. Hopefully it resets as you suggested. That would be great! The battery drain and not holding charge thing..... BOOO!! Thanks Randy!!
  15. Hi, My trailer has been unplugged and under cover for a few months. Went to check it out recently and the Blue Sky monitor numbers were all blank. So just plugged in the trailer for a few days and went back today. The Blue Sky monitor still registers blank. The tank monitor registers battery at 13.0 (unplugged) and 13.2 (plugged in). Previously they did appear normal as far as I could tell as it did have numbers registering. Is my battery charged?? Any idea what's going on? This thing is completely beyond me. I read through some posts but I can't get a comprehension of this thing. Here are some pictures of the monit0rs today.
  16. Just wanted to say thank you for sharing this information. I didn't even know you could get a mattress made to fit. So happy!!!
  17. Hi Mustang, Thank you for your input. Yep keep it in straight line when unhooking - and keep it in a straight line when hooking up. --- and it's about the triangle plate position too - my triangle plate unfortunately has a mind of it's own. It's not a team player. ;-) I think Anderson recommends not greasing the bulldog coupler - if my memory serves me correct. Thank you for taking the time to offer your thoughts. Happy trailering! :-)
  18. Mike, Sage has seen all the photos - when hooked up properly and when it's gone bad - as a whole and all the individual parts. He couldn't figure the problem. It gets hooked up properly - I've got that down pat ;-).....- it just goes bad when used. Just need someone to see it work in real time. Thanks Mike.
  19. Thank you everybody for all the helpful suggestions ) John, J-Rhett, Ride and Fly, and Dave. Wow - what a great group! I've had this hitch off and on so many times without success - I need up close personal help! :-) I know it can be a good hitch - -as folks like Bill, Mike and Carol have expressed. Hey, I might as well try to work it out instead of leaving it in a box in storage! I'm sure it's just some little thing I'm overlooking that an experienced eye will see right away. I will try the contacts suggested to me by Bill, Mike and Carol. Thank you! Carole
  20. Let's just call it a personal challenge for me. I would like to be able to use it and trouble shoot it. Still looking for someone in the western states that might want to check it out with me! Thanks John! Carole
  21. Thanks John for your thoughts. The chains sure seemed at different tensions. One was completely straight and I could stand and jump on it with no movement of the chain. The other on will hang loosely towards the ground and easily swing around..............the truck and trailer are lined up straight. The triangle plate will start out in line with the truck as it should be after resetting everything - then I drive/turn and the triangle plate would not be aligned anymore .....with the tension out of wack as expected with the incorrect angle of the triangle. Yes, it comes out of center at turns but will not center itself back into alignment when the truck and trailer are in a straight line. Have you used yours at all? It may be difficult for you to picture what I am describing if you haven't really checked one out. Yes I've read not to use a no sway hitch if your truck has no sway capabilities. My truck does not have that. Oliver kindly sent me a new ball and friction cone. The same problem occurs. So I will assume it's not the ball and friction cone. From what I understand there aren't any other no sway hitches that will fit on the Oliver. That's why they have the Anderson. It's clear you think it's unnecessary for me to use a no sway hitch. But I would still like to know if anyone knows of someone in the western states that may be familiar with this hitch. Thank you!
  22. Hi John, Thank you for the quick reply. It has been told to me that I don't need the Anderson hitch - that my tow vehicle is large enough. I plan to be pulling through mountain passes and gorges so would like the extra security of a no sway hitch. I did spend a lot of money on it so I could have the extra security. So the question is trying to find someone that understands this hitch and may be able to find a problem that neither I or the Anderson rep could figure out. :-) Thanks!
  23. Purchased my Oliver last year. On day two of my drive home from pick up my Anderson hitch started grinding very loudly - enough to feel the vibration of it in my truck. After checking it out it was noted that one side of the hitch tension was very tight and the other very loose. Adjusted for even tension - tensions became uneven again and the grinding. Took it to an RV place and a worker their said he loved the Anderson hitch and new all about them. He adjusted it. Worked fine for about a day. Back to the same problems. Anderson informed me that the hitches often have problems if they get wet. It hadn't been rained on or gotten wet. I had been in some heavy winds just before these problems arose. Had many emails with a representative from Anderson and I've taken the hitch on and off multiple times paying very specific attention to details and sending detailed photos. I never resolved the problem. Andersons final solution to me was to just take the hitch off and not use it. My frustration with the whole thing caused my to park my trailer away. I'm going to pull it out now and live in it full time for awhile. I would like to get the hitch problem solved. Does anybody know anyone in the western states that has worked with these? My local Campers World said they have never heard of the hitch. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have dreaded trying to work this out again - I was so disgusted with it previously. Thank you.
  24. Thanks ScubaRX, Trying to give myself an education in voltage. :-) Thank you for helping. "This sounds as if the heater was plugged in while the trailer was disconnected from outside power and was getting its power from the batteries through your inverter." Hmmm. It was plugged in. Maybe for some reason the power had been kicked off at that outlet over the past week and I just assumed there was still power supplied. I'll go back out tomorrow and confirm the led light is on before trying the heater again. It sounds like this is also connected to my question as to why I can't get my fridge to run on AC there (only DC).......that was going to be my next issue to tackle. "make sure the outlet that the heater is plugged in to is not drawing off the batteries. (This would assume that you have some outlets that are ONLY connected to the inverter–not likely.)" I'll have to check with Oliver to see. I would think the wiring would be done the same in all their trailers.....I can't imagine having plugs that I can't plug any appliances into. .....my little vacuum I plugged in wouldn't work either. So I'll closely check out my power source at the trailer storage tomorrow. Hopefully that's the gig. Thank you ScubaRX for your patience trying to explain voltage to a newbie. :-) Carole
