  1. "Since the connection between the camera and the monitor is wireless there is no way to lose connection by jiggling the wiring, so it’s power to your monitor that’s being lost not connection to the camera." Excellent point. :-) It has the same problem when I plug it into the 12 volt power port in the trailer - I don't think that port is the problem. It's the wires - specifically that tiny little red accessory wire. It must be broken inside. The connection under the little plastic caps is good. Seems Oliver could have found a camera to install that didn't have all these extra wires all wadded up all over the place. :-/ I've sent a request to Oliver to replace the cable for me. I'll let you know what I hear. Carole
  2. I sent an email out to Jason at Oliver last week. I will let you all know when I hear back from him and what his answers are. Carole
  3. It will show 13.5V almost immediately after plugging in so I didn't think that was an indication of a fully charged battery....but just and indications of power available (from the landline cord). It also states something like 77 hours to full charge on one of the screens. Yes it's cold here too. I plugged in a space heater to run during the cold spell. The voltage moniter went CRAZY!! Quickly up to over 100 amps then the heater shut off/and amps down then up and down again very quickly several times. Then the heater quit working - I figured I had blown a fuse in the trailer but turned out I just needed to reset the plug in outside. Obviously I didn't use the heater so I'm hoping my trailer lines haven't frozen and blown ( I did empty the water lines). Has anyone had this problem? I used it a little heater like this in a class c I had and it worked like a charm. Carole
  4. Hi Bill, I did contact Sage and he is trying to help me out. I needed to take a break from my Ollie with it's problems......so it's taken me a few days to get back to the forum. I did take off the hitch a reattach it to instruction. But I'm having the same problems. I will continue to try and work them out and get back to the forum....as it might be useful information to others. Carole
  5. Hi Buzzy, Thank you so much for taking the time to try to help me out. It is sincerely appreciated. I'm going to go back out again to the trailer today and see if I can work this out. The cable works as there is a blue light. When I plug in it will say ~13.5/~+4.0 then within minutes changes to ~13.5/~0.2. It has done this consistently. I'll take a couple pictures today and try to get better information to you. Thank you Buzzy, Carole
  6. It look like I'm shaking the cables hard but I'm not. This on and off of the picture also occurs when I'm just driving. Connection is lost and the moniter keeps re-connecting itself to camera. You can see the useless picture I get on the moniter at the end of the video.
  7. Hi Buzzy, It's not sun glaring/shining on the moniter........it's the picture itself. Headlights, streetlamps, etc. glare the entire picture screen. Also even during the day if there is rain. The problem with the cable wires is that there seems to be bad wiring. All the connections are put together properly. I'll try to figure how to share you tubes here - I've done lots of that for various classes but don't see a way to post them on this forum.
  8. Any solutions out there for glare? Picture is fine if it's dry and bright daylight. Any moisture or beginnings of dusk there is so much glare that there is nothing to be seen. Toggling between day/night/auto setting show the exact same view. It's basically useless as it is -- *Also there is a lot of lost connection - the wires seem to be loose. The standard hand connections are fine - it seems to be those jumble of wires. If the get touched or moved the picture goes on and off. Any suggestions for that? Took video of it but I don't see a way to attach it to this post. Thank you, Carole
  9. Good morning fellow Ollie owners, Shouldn't my batteries be recharging to full when I plug my Ollie into a landline? "+" in the amp of 6-7. ..... then within minutes drops back down to .1 - .4. I read somewhere here that there is a red knob to be sure is in the on position -- but I don't find any kind of lever anywhere. I do have solar panels. I can't get the batteries past a 75% charge. I do live in the Pacific Northwest so my solar panel are not able to do much at the time. Trailer is also stored under cover. Thank you! Carole
  10. Thank you for your quick thoughtful responses. I just sent an email Sage. Hopefully he will be able to help me with these problems. Hitch worked fine for a couple days - drove in some windy Wyoming conditions one evening. Have had these problems since. Thank you for offering suggestions. Carole
  11. Started hearing grinding noises during turns on my trip home from picking up trailer. Went to a local RV join and also called Olliver trailers. Both felt it was the ball/bulldog hitch socket making the grinding noise. Along with the grinding noise there was a noticeable difference in the tension between the two chains. One became very loose and the other very tight. Went to the RV repair shop -- they reset it and lubed the hitch ball. Made it home safely but the grinding continues. Today spent the day messing with the hitch AGAIN (shouldn't this have been checked out before delivery to me??) finally gave up after a couple of hours. Chains continue to get uneven in tension and the grinding noise. I took the hitch off -- and a beautiful pull. No grinding. Therefore, it is NOT the ball and bulldog hitch grinding. There is something wrong with the hitch itself. I did see on another site that the attachment of the hitch to the trailer should be perpendicular.......mine certainly are NOT......and I was wondering if this was a problem. I'm starting to guess that the hitch was just poorly/hasitily installed by Oliver ( they had forgotten to install / wrong install of several items). Has anybody had any similar experience? Any suggestions? Help !!!!!!!
