  1. Thank you - I actually did refer to the manual, I guess I just didn't look closely enough. I was only looking at the fuse panel descriptions on the latter of the two pages you shared and did not look closely at the panel layout on page 35 of the manual.
  2. Hello again, I recently purchased a TST TPMS system that includes a booster/repeater to get the signal to realiably link to the head unit in my truck. I am going to install it in the trailer this weekend and my thoughts are to include it in the Rear Camera circuit as both the rear camera and the TPMS will be powered up at the same time. The power switch for the Rear Camera is located on the Entry Switch Panel but is not tied to the Master Light Switch (it can be on when the Master Switch is off). Which DC fuse is inline with the rear camera switch- F2 Electronics? F5 Main Lights? or is it something different? Thanks for the help.
  3. Dan, I've enjoyed reading this thread. We seem to be on similar timelines - I am about 18 months out from full retirement at 62. I initially planned on 60 but the extra couple of years helps with the finances and covers the Oli purchase. Having immersed myself in possible options, I pretty rapidly ended up in the fiberglass segment. About 7 months ago, I ended up with Oliver at the top of the list for the same factors you've listed above. It sounds like I'm geographically closer to Hohenwald than you but it is still a long trip (from DC). Despite not visiting the factory, I'd tentatively decided on the Elite II about 7 months ago and was planning to visit the facility and order new hull in the spring. Then, in January, I lucked into a two year old hull with all of my desired options less than three hours from home. During a two week shakedown trip in March, I rolled through Hohenwald for an introduction and tour. Both sales and service seemed really happy to see me despite not purchasing new. This is a real community! There are quite a few small projects that I have planned for comfort, convenience and power connectivity, but all in all, I know this was the right choice, especially for four season and boondocking capabilities. I plan on hitting the road for some much longer trips starting in early 2027 and hope to get to Guntersville in early 2026 to learn even more from the experts. It is so hard trudging through the work day with the end in sight. Please keep us posted as things progress. Warm regards.
  4. I think the DC-DC charging may be there at some point in the future when I can find a local shop that can do a proper install. I have an understanding of the system but I am not an expert and would prefer anything with the truck be done professionally. I do agree that having redundant methods for charging (in addition to the stock solar) would be a nice situation in the long term. I do expect to be traveling for much longer periods after retirement.
  5. Thanks for the feedback. I do have the larger lithium package. I will set the xantrex to 15 amps as you suggest. It will be interesting to monitor the battery charging and amperage. I debated whether to go with a DC to DC charger off the Tundra and decided against it.
  6. This being my first season of use, I am still in the process of learning the proper procedures for many tasks. My trips so far, both on and off grid, were successful with minimal issues. As I approach the summer season, I purchased the Honda eu2200i companion generator to ensure I will meet the power needs when air conditioning may be used extensively. I’d like advice regarding my understanding of the proper process for connecting generator power to the trailer. Here is the current process I have put together, please tell me where I’m missing anything: Turn of AC devices in the trailer and secure the trailer main AC power breaker Set up the generator to run per the instructions Connect neutral ground plug into the 120v 20 amp generator connection Connect the 30 amp cord supply side to the 120v 30 amp generator connection with a locking adapter (noting that it will only be sending 20 amps) Connect the 30 amp cord to the trailer connection Start the generator to run at normal setting (not eco) Re-engage the trailer main AC breaker Given these steps, the generator will be providing shore power at ~20 amps which should run necessary AC functions (with the exception of the air conditioner) and will also charge the lithium batteries alongside the solar charging. Do I need to alter any settings in the xantrex controller app to ensure safe operation under this shore power configuration? My hull (#1056) has the Truma air conditioner retrofitted into it. As I understand it, my eardrums should be grateful to the previous owners. In order to use the air conditioner while using the 2200i, I will either need a soft start installed inside the Truma (all signs point to this not currently being the case) or I can use the inline soft start product in between the generator and the trailer. I appreciate your guidance.
  7. I just thought of another…. If you are transiting Central Oregon (near Bend) along your route, I suggest you look into the Newberry National Volcanic Monument. The campgrounds near Paulina Lake are beautiful. It is a remarkably diverse geologic region - the monument is quite large, it is just not substantial enough to be a NP. This has the added advantage of being slightly off the beaten path away from the many other popular Pacific Northwest destinations.
  8. I recommend you look into the US101 loop of Olympic National Park. While most of the scenic opportunities (Hurricane Ridge and the Hoh Rainforest) require day trips to get up into the national park itself, they are both worth it. If you can stay near Port Angeles (north of Hurricane Ridge) you would also have a day trip opportunity to ferry to Victoria BC and the beautiful Butchart Gardens. Additionally, while this may not coincide closely with your National Park strategy, perhaps you might visit the area near the mouth of the Columbia River - Cape Disappointment, WA and the Columbia River Maritime Museum in Astoria, OR across the river. You will get a sense of why the call the mouth of the Columbia the “graveyard of the Pacific”. It’s usually quite nice in the summer (not Texas hot), it’s just plain nasty in the winter.
  9. The purchase of my LEII came earlier than I expected as I’d originally intended to get a new hull. I will not make it to the Oliver Rally this year due to other commitments. The 2026 rally will be a priority as I approach full retirement. I will be looking for great advice and recommendations from other owners prior to hitting the road.
  10. Hello everyone. It's time to introduce myself after lurking here in the forum for a few months. I purchased my 2022 LEII (Hull #1056) from Paul and Tina at the end of January. While yet to begin my adventures (as winter has yet to depart the mid-Atlantic), I've spent the past few months learning about the Oliver and it's systems. The four season functionality, quality construction and top notch customer service made my choice easy. The bonus is the informed, pleasant and supportive user community that I've found here on the forum! I look forward to getting to know you all better through the forum and at future rallies. Warm regards
