Coastal Aggie Posted November 23 Posted November 23 Recently I had to replace 4/5 of the touch lights. I got 2 different styles to try out. One was very similar to the original style except with a push button in the middle and the option of both dimming and a blue light, the other style is more modern style with button, dimming and red light. Unfortunately the ones with red light were a bit too small so I'll eventually need get around to swapping them out. However I've really gotten to like the red light at night quite a bit. It's gotten me wondering if there's an option out there that I could swap out the bathroom/hallway courtesy lights out for red lights and was wondering if anyone has seen something that would work. I normally like to leave the bathroom light on 24/7 so I'm not having to fumble around with switches in the dark also I never use those courtesy lights but if they were red I could leave them on all the time with no issue. 2018 F150 FX4 5.0v8 2022 Oliver Elite Hull #1285 2023 Oliver Elite Hull #1434
Corvus Posted November 23 Posted November 23 (edited) I replaced my courtesy lights with some I found on Amz, but it look like they have been discontinued. Hopefully you can find a similar product. This was the title: "Partsam 2pcs 3" Clear/Red LED Oblong Courtesy Light Yacht Marine Boat Stair Accent Deck Garden Usage Waterproof" An alternative is a film. I used a film to change my outside lights to amber. Much easier on the eyes and doesn't attract insects like the stock white. I tried two other brands before finding a company that makes a good product. They also make a red film which I also have in case I want to go red outside. It might work for the courtesy lights also. One thing I noted at the Texas Rally is that every hull in our loop had MUCH brighter outside courtesy lights, likely twice as bright. Glad ours are dim in comparison and after 9 years all are still working, hope not to have to replace them. Anybody know the replacement part for the two entrance lights? There is also a pair on the streetside. I would like to install one on the rear, over the window just as the side lights are mounted above the window. I would also like one in front over the doghouse, both on separate switches that I can access from outdoors. Chris & John in Prescott, AZ | 2016 EII #113 | '01 Ram 2500 Cummins!
