shhQuiet Posted Tuesday at 02:13 PM Posted Tuesday at 02:13 PM I don’t know if anyone has seen this, but compare the time and energy to build an Oliver with this. This is 12 years old, and they were popping out a trailer in 7 hours. I missed the part where they did quality control 🤔 https://youtu.be/aLHux4SuXbY 2023 Oliver Legacy Elite II, Hull #1405, "Rocinante" TV: 2022 F-150 5.0 V8 4x4 YouTube: StevesRoadTripChronicles
Steph and Dud B Posted Tuesday at 04:03 PM Posted Tuesday at 04:03 PM In 2018 we toured the Forest River Rockwood plant making fifth wheels. Same thing, rushing through the entire process. Not surprising because it's piecework. The workers were paid by the number of units they completed each day. They did actually have a QC station that looked for things that were missing or obviously wrong, but there was no major systems testing. Amazingly, our 2017 Rockwood fifth wheel was actually pretty good. We had fewer problems with it then we've had with our 2022 Oliver. Maybe because it was pre-COVID. 🤷♂️ Stephanie and Dudley from CT. 2022 LE2, Hull #1150: Eggcelsior. Tow vehicle: 2016 GMC Sierra 6.0 gas dually 4x4.
