STEVEnBETTY Posted December 4, 2017 Posted December 4, 2017 Can you simply connect 30A to the Ollie and the Ollie converter/battery charger charges the batteries? If you direct charge the batteries from the inverter geberazirs DC output, can you overcharge/harm the batteries ? Short answer to the first part, yes. It doesn't matter if it's 15 or 30 amps ac shore power or generator, 15 amps won't run everything (i.e. Air conditioner) but the charge wizard part of the converter will charge and maintain your batteries. The second part if I understand your question correctly is yes you can over charge your batteries if you hook up your generator directly to your batteries, I have a 2000 watt Honda inverter generator and it has dc output but it's not regulated, and it will overcharge your batteries. 1 STEVEnBETTY
