wjpatter Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 What is the option about anti-sway equipment? I talked to a Casita owner who had one on a hitch with it built-in but he was unclear whether it was needed. Bill Patterson
technomadia Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 There isn't an anti-sway option for the Oliver, like there is for the Casita. You don't need one with their very stable shocks (4 of them) and springs either. - Cherie
DCKiefer Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 I am usually skeptical of what the manufacture says is required, but as techomadia stated, they are on the money about not needing a sway bar system. I have towed my fully loaded Oliver with both my Toyota FJ Cruiser and Toyota Tacoma and felt no need for a sway bars. We have been up and down moutain passes, tractor trailers passing at 90 mph and drove to the beach in Gustav's 25 mph gusts (across Tampa Bay) and felt solid as a rock. 1
dougi Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 IMO, solid as can be. No sway control necessary. 1
herm Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 I have also been very pleased with the towing performance. Never felt one hint of sway in about 2000 miles of towing. Even strong crosswinds seem to have little effect on the handling. Herm 1
